THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE: Directs a team in the execution of remodel and retail roll-out programs across the Company, including responsibilities for but not limited to remodels, brand rollouts, and other “special” construction projects impacting existing stores. Drives alignment of scope, schedule, and budget to meet program objectives. Leads the end-to-end program delivery and serves as the communication link between the program execution team and business owner for multiple rollouts and remodel programs over 600+ individual projects, with a budget accountability of $ 100 M+. Responsible for delivering all quality programs/projects on schedule and within budget, while driving process improvements and expense reduction. YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH THESE GOALS BY: Directs the development and implementation of the remodel and rollout program strategy to ensure a uniform delivery methodology, on-time and on-budget execution, while remaining aligned with company strategic initiatives. Sets the high-level planning and execution objectives across a portfolio of large multisite touches to achieve sustainable remodel and rollout program practices. Leads a team of 4 internal program/project managers and additional third-party project support as needed. Partners with Growth & Development leadership in developing the annual G&D capital budget, specifically for remodels, rollouts, and special project budgets. Accountable for meeting overall budgets and financial objectives for the assigned portfolio of work. Partners with the Director of Construction and VP, Construction, Facilities & Energy to build cross-functional synergies, including cost savings methods, external suppliers/vendors, and process improvement. Collaborates with in-house and external A/E design professionals to develop estimates, evaluate alternative solutions, and conduct value engineering efforts addressing both schedule phasing and material cost reduction. Through negotiation, resolve Landlord/Tenant issues, construction issues, and GC/Supplier/Vendor issues. Travel to critical job sites to inspect progress, resolve unique problems, and verify the implementation of new concepts. Manage general contractors and consultants. Ensure timely decision-making and information flow. Partner with internal and external business partners to improve procedures related to change order requests and approval, GC weekly reports, GC handling of owner-supplied materials, maintenance interface on construction projects, and more. Provide final approval input to the Vice President of Growth & Development on construction contracts. Provide mentoring for key direct reports and provide leadership that promotes teamwork and a construction organization that mirrors the mission and core values of the company. BUILDS AND MANAGES HIGH-PERFORMING TEAMS Aligns teams with account goals and objectives Motivates staff to work as a cohesive and collaborative team with high retention Establishes clear goals and objectives for direct reports Provides frequent coaching and feedback to elevate performance Develops team proficiencies through internally and externally facilitated training programs Conducts weekly individual/team meetings to assess performance, provide relevant updates, and coach to individual improvement plans RESULTS DRIVEN Ability to execute against the vision, strategy, and account plan Acts on relevant data (financial, environmental, performance) to achieve goals Takes corrective action quickly and decisively when performance falls short of expectation or when redirection is required Communicates with all internal/external partners effectively and professionally to drive operational excellence NATURAL COACH & LEADER Establishes performance expectations and goals for employees Provides point-in-time feedback on the performance of employees Adapts leadership style to meet the needs of the individual Inspire trust and integrity with the team as well as a learning environment Influence others, engage and inspire, proactive collaboration, build talent, communicate effectively, and build relationships Demonstrated experience managing people managers REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION: 7+ years of experience in retail store construction management Bachelor's/MBA preferred in Construction Management or equivalent career experience Experience with construction documents and project schedules Experience with capital budgets, financial reports, retail leases, and contract negotiation Skilled in conceptual estimating Ability to evaluate the Landlord's progress for possession of premises by the Tenant Ability to evaluate bid proposals Demonstrated construction technical knowledge Demonstrated ability to manage employees and ability to apply construction knowledge to mentor staff Excellent problem-solving skills Strong organizational and influencing skills Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong process improvement and project management skills Ability to gather, evaluate, and summarize data Excel and Power-Point skills required; knowledge of Access a plus #LI-JB2 The pay range for this position is $143,000.00 - $185,000.00 / Year with the opportunity for eligible associates to earn additional compensation pursuant to the Company’s bonus plan. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs. Full-time positions are eligible for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life and disability benefits. Part-time positions are eligible for dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.
