We are looking for a dedicated Director Clinical Resource Analysis like you to be a part of our team. **Job Summary and Qualifications** The Director, Clinical Resource Analysis – Surgery is responsible for leading non-labor expense savings, product standardization, and utilization for HCA. This position will utilize HealthTrust’s value analysis methodology that includes assessing applicable financial, clinical, operational, and evidence-based literature for selection, evaluation, monitoring, and implementation. Develops and maintains a collaborative relationship with clinical, administrative, and healthcare system staff to ensure effective, results-oriented outcomes. This position is responsible for translating strategy into deliverable solutions that are achievable for supply expense management **What you will do in this role:** Leadership: + Assesses; provides leadership, and direction in the area of supply expense management related to non-labor expense to support organization’s strategy. + Assimilates information from variety of sources while demonstrating the ability to analyze data, make recommendations, and execute on a course of action. + Develops, implements, and coordinates within the hospital or system: + Policies and procedures related to supply expense management. + Product standardization and utilization + Directs and/or leads cross-functional service line teams to develop and implement solutions to complex supply expense solutions. Customer Service: + Develops relationships with internal and external stakeholders to better understand needs and challenges while setting achievable customer expectations. + Supports customers through the “Streetwise” database to ensure supply improvement ideas are up to date and new ideas are identified and published in a timely manner. + Utilizes customer feedback to improve products and services. + Participates in the selling process, as needed. Financial and Clinical Data: + Demonstrates the ability to analyze financial and clinical data to identify variation opportunities and make recommendations on product standardization, contract opportunities, and savings opportunities. + Provides expense savings enhancements to include national product formularies, category standardizations, or other savings opportunities. + Demonstrates the ability to track and analyze financial data for initiatives and projects. + Develops standardized documents, processes, and calculations for use by the supply expense management team to quantify supply savings solutions. + Demonstrates financial acumen which includes providing the customer with a cost/benefit analysis. Execution: + Executes on supply expense improvement incorporating cost, quality, and clinical outcomes. + Applies strong data analysis skills to develop an actionable plan. + Demonstrates the ability to develop a project plan for major projects. + Develops milestones for projects to determine outcomes and ensure deadlines are achieved. + Directs multiple projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment with the ability to prioritize, organize, and coordinate to achieve deadlines. General Knowledge/Competencies: + Provides effective communication which includes good listening, verbal, written, and presentation skills to a variety of stakeholders from executives to staff. + Demonstrates effective problem-solving skills which include understanding issues, the ability to simply and process complex issues, and understanding the difference between critical and non-critical details. + Demonstrates the ability to operate within the organization’s formal and informal structures, builds relationships across departments, is appropriately diplomatic, and understands differing perspectives. + Demonstrates the ability to sell projects and ideas across the organization and can be identified as a change agent. + Demonstrates knowledge and expertise with value analysis in healthcare. + Demonstrates the ability to manage conflict by using common approaches and facilitation techniques to lead teams to alignment and achieve high-performance levels. + Practices and adheres to the Code of Conduct philosophy, mission and vision statements **What qualifications you will need:** + Bachelor’s degree in Business, Health Administration, or Nursing is required. + In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, will consider a graduate of an accredited school of nursing. + Graduate degree is highly preferred at the master’s level, such as MSN, MHA, or MBA. + A minimum of five (5) years of applicable acute care surgical experience based on supported categories in general, GYN, robotic, plastic, endoscopy, urology, or other clinically needed experience in a hospital setting with experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified above. + Clinical Value Analysis experience highly preferred with experience evaluating complex surgical product utilization and physician preference items. + Computer skills with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel required. + Software skills with Power BI, Tableau, or other data warehouse programs highly preferred. + As appropriate to education.
