Director Clinical Informatics

**Job Description**
The Director of Clinical Informatics provides leadership in the development, deployment, re-engineering and integration of information technology to support clinical care. The Director of Clinical Informatics serves as a liaison between information technology and nursing/clinical departments to ensure key stakeholders and end-user involvement in technology implementations, including assessment and optimization of clinical workflows.
+ Directs and oversees the Clinical Informatics Specialists in support of IT strategies and implementations.
+ Implements and supports system-wide standardization, utilization, integration and optimization activities related to the EHR and other clinical informatics initiatives.
+ Combines knowledge of patient care, informatics and change management concepts to promote enduser adoption of IT solutions.
+ Champions complex IT clinical projects with a focus on patient safety and evidence-based practice, in addition to policy review and development, consideration of regulations, education and training, evaluation of implementation.
+ Leads assessment, design and optimization of clinical workflows and processes essential for adoption of new technology.
+ Utilization of clinical informatics data to drive quality performance, improve outcomes and increase efficiencies.
+ Provide effective leadership and collaboration within a multidisciplinary setting.
+ Seeks opportunities to drive innovation through technology to transform care delivery.
Bachelor's in nursing or related field is required. Certification in Nursing Informatics preferred.
