**Job Summary**
Director Charge Integrity plans, directs, and coordinates the revenue cycle charge capture systems, processes, and workflows of Baylor Scott and White Health (BSWH). This includes reviewing, auditing, and resolving patient charge issues, errors, or omissions. Establishes and enforces charge capture policy for BSWH and ensures timely and accurate revenue recording. Manages the review of patient account records and resolves third-party payer issues. Monitors charge capture information related to charge triggers, controls, reconciliation, and coding for compliant billing and charging procedures by BSWH. Develops and implements policies, procedures, and guidelines to improve revenue cycle operations and charge integrity. Ensures compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and responds to changes in requirements. Works closely with finance, clinical, operations, and other revenue cycle departments to handle patient financial matters efficiently.
**Essential Functions of the Role**
+ Directs charge integrity processes and programs for BSWH.
+ Recommends and implements strategic and operational plans and priorities for change integrity services aligned to BSWH overall business goals.
+ Directs the monitoring of financial and EPIC systems. Ensures charge edits are completed and resolved on schedule.
+ Manages efforts to update ADT and charge edits to validate the accuracy of information and compliance with payer requirements.
+ Uses editing outputs from EPIC and other revenue cycle systems. Provides updated information and training to registration, charge capture teams, and operational managers.
+ Partners with hospital and clinic leadership to improve registration and charge capture performance.
+ Manages the identification and reporting of trends in charging and ADT edit resolution to improve integrity of charge capture processes.
+ Reviews and communicates examination of assigned denial codes. Coordinates with clinical leadership in the assigned region to reduce denial rates.
+ Investigates and implements charge processes and procedures. Utilizes existing and new technologies to reduce costs and increase productivity.
+ Enhances technology to improve the integrity of change reporting for revenue cycle, hospital, and clinic senior leadership.
**Key Success Factors**
+ Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field preferred.
+ 5+ years of experience in charge capture, revenue cycle, accounting, or related field, preferably for a large health care system.
+ 1+ years of experience in a leadership role.
+ Experience with revenue cycle management in health care preferred.
+ Excellent critical and quantitative skills.
+ Exceptional project management and prioritization skills.
+ Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills.
