Position Summary:
The Human Nutrition division of Archer Daniels Midland is searching for a Director of Central Sales North America. This is an experienced sales leadership position that will be actively coaching and training the sales team towards prospecting, quoting, negotiation, product applications, virtual selling, and other sales & marketing activities.  Success in the role will allow for advancement through the Nutrition Commercial Organization which includes pathways into Sales Leadership, Marketing and Business Management within ADM.  This position will report directly to the VP of Commercial Excellence. The position will be located in Erlanger, KY.

Requirements:An undergraduate degree is required, preferably in a business discipline, MBA or related advanced degree desirable. A minimum of 7 years of experience in sales.Proven experience building new and existing relationships with customers across all levels of the organization.Strong initiative, passionate with a desire to learn and continuously improve.Ability to proactively share ideas, collaborate, adapt, respectfully challenge, and work with a diverse team to find the best solution.Strong organization, time management, communication, and negotiation skills.High level of humility, integrity and professionalism.PreferredMBAJob DescriptionManaging and developing relationships across key customer influencers and decision makersMust be able to define and deliver the annual sales plan for assigned markets.Find, vet, and evaluate new business opportunities to develop market share and increase margin.Gathering and using relevant market information to the input and design of the business strategy at customer, market, pricing and product level.Interfacing with a portfolio of customers; negotiate sales contracts.Managing sales contract execution from commercial agreement to delivery on time.Managing sales volumes, pricing, credit issues, and contract status via interaction with the business support teams.Employing customer related systems ranging from planning tools to CRM systems.Coordinating special customer requirements through Organization.Establishes plans and strategies to expand the customer base in the assigned market area and contributes to maintaining current customer relationshipsTravelExtensive overnight travel is required 50-75%
