Job Overview:
RWJ Barnabas Health is looking for a qualified individual for the Director of Radiation Oncology for our location in New Brunswick, NJ.
Qualifications:
Bachelor s required,Masters preferred,BLS requiredARRT/NJDEP licensure requiredMinimum 5 years supervisory experience required in radiation oncology as Chief Therapist or higher roleEssential Functions:
Coordinates and directs the daily activities of the Radiation Oncology staff to assure the accuracy of technical services and efficiency of the overall operation,Plans and directs the programs and activities for the Department, establishing short and long-range goals and objectives,Responsible for planning and directing the administrative, technical and educational activities of the Radiation Therapy Department,Establishes and maintains standard of performance which governs all department techniques and procedures,Develops and monitors operating and capital budgets for the departmentEstablishes and maintains all department policies and procedures,Develops technical and/or clinical standards of performance for all department techniques and procedures,Standardizes processes related to treatment techniques and workflows across both campuses focusing of safety, quality and efficiency,Ensures compliance to hospital policies and guidelines of regulatory agencies included but not limited to TJC and DOH,Annually assesses departmental operating and capital needs and submits budget requests accordingly,Controls budgeted expenses and proactively manages budget variances,Improves processes and services to meet and exceed patient needs,Optimizes employee satisfaction through utilization of sound employee relationship practices and maintains high level of visibility and accessibility,Conducts annual performance appraisals,Other Duties:
