**Description:** **Job Overview** Lead the strategic expansion of Hyatt’s portfolio across China by originating, evaluating and executing management and franchise opportunities. This role is responsible for driving growth initiatives, strengthening owner relationships, and contributing to Hyatt’s long-term market positioning and competitiveness. This position will be based either in Hong Kong or Shanghai Head Office. **Key Responsibilities** + Develop and execute Hyatt’s development plans according to the strategic direction of the company. Leverage strong industry knowledge and superior sales skills to sign deals. + Lead sourcing and conversion of development opportunities into projects. Work closely with internal and external departments to facilitate analysis, evaluation, approval and closure of prospective opportunities. + Well-balanced approach to volume and value. Use NPV as guideline to proactively pursue and be responsible for signing high-value deals whilst expand the portfolio and market footprint. + Provide comprehensive research data regarding viability of markets and preferred site location for Hyatt brands. Manage the structuring, negotiation and closing of the deals throughout the development process. + Build and maintain relationships with owners, investors and developers to drive consistent revenue growth and achieve individual and team signings target. **Qualifications:** **Experience** + Excellent oral and written communication skill in fluent Mandarin and English. + Strong negotiation, influencing/consensus building, analytical and presentation skills. + Knowledge of deal structuring, management contracts agreements, hotel real estate markets. + Strong interpersonal and communication skills, culturally sensitive. + Be able to deal with diversified types of deal include new build, conversion and renewal. + Extensive travel required. Be able to manage and control the travel expense to moderate. + 3 years working experience in a hotel development, real estate consulting firm or company or similar role with good track record. + Sufficient knowledge of financing principles, hotel operations, management contracts, deal structuring as well as familiar with hotel real estate markets. **Education** + Bachelor’s degree or above in Economics, Real Estate, Finance, Hotel Management, or relevant field of work or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience. **Computer Skills Needed to Perform this Job** + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong financial modelling (Excel) preferred. **Primary Location:** CN-31-Shanghai **Organization:** Regional Office - ASPAC **Job Level:** Full-time **Job:** Hotel Development **Req ID:** SHA003997 Hyatt is an equal employment opportunity and affirmative action employer.
