Job Summary
Responsible for leading the discovery, development and evaluation of new product ideas, enhancing existing products or strategic product extensions, and translating research discoveries into usable and marketable products. Leads, plans and tracks all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction into the marketplace. Appraises and influences new product ideas to determine their potential to address customer needs and to achieve goals in revenue growth and market share. Determines product specifications and coordinates with various functions, including Engineering, Manufacturing, Marketing and Sales, to ensure successful product development and implementation. Under consultative direction, provides leadership and direction to large/complex teams in the same business function. Implements strategy; leads and translates approaches to highly complex issues. Uses quantitative/financial information to assess, manage, improve, and report business performance. Provides leadership and direction for multiple functional areas. Manages professionals at manager, supervisor and professional levels. Ensures appropriate resources to achieve financial and business objectives. Core Responsibilities
Collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop GTM strategy, execute flawless device launches, and minimize disruptions with portfolio transitions. This includes supporting teams with decision-making on pricing, channel assortment, merchandising, launch communications, demand planning, and write-downs.Demand forecasting across the device portfolio taking in numerous assumptions: overall business goals, promotional strategy, market dynamics, launches, marketing activities, product capabilities and enhancementsPartners with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, Product Management, Channels, and Growth to meet overarching business objectivesManages and drives portfolio performance through KPI reporting and strategic insightsAssesses market opportunities and create business cases to asses PORCreates financial models, develops business cases and makes strategic recommendations for promotional activitiesDevelop and help manage P&L for devices in partnership with finance and accountingHelp manage relationships with OEM partners by setting expectations, uncovering growth opportunities, and negotiating termsDefines product, business and functional requirements. Provides product support and documentation and develops product materials.Actively monitors competitive activity and becomes source of truth on key product/business metrics and financialsSupports the long-term MVNO strategy by partnering with business development teamsConsistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significanceRegular, consistent and punctual attendance. Track record with financial modeling and unstructured analytical data with exceptional business and financial acumenStrong analytical skills underscored by a strategic mindset. Able to think through complex operational challenges and recommend solutions in a rapidly changing business environment.Prior experience with budgeting and forecasting, high level of confidence in data analysis using Excel or like softwareExcellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to tailor communication style to diverse stakeholder groups (internal, external, technical, executive leadership, etc.)Interested in mobile technology including technology advancements, customer experience and industry developmentsComfortable manipulating large datasets and creating reports to track performanceBackground in SQL or other programming language a plusNatural collaborator with excellent communication skillsMust be disciplined and comfortable with ambiguity, possessing the maturity and capability to interact and influence across multiple levels in heavily matrixed organizations
