Responsibilities

The Director of Workforce Operations, UKG will be a critical leader responsible for optimizing operational efficiency and effectiveness across Ascension, with specific focus on leveraging and integrating our workforce management solution and ERP systems. This role will oversee the strategic planning, implementation, and ongoing management of the workforce management platform, ensuring seamless interoperability and data flow to drive informed decision-making, improved patient care, and a streamlined employee experience. The Director will lead a high-performing cross-functional team and collaborate extensively with IT, HR, Finance, Payroll, and clinical departments to align technology solutions with business needs and organizational goals.

 

You will lead a team of internal and external resources responsible for implementing Timekeeping, Scheduling and Staffing, Analytics and additional modules and related business processesPartnering with the project management, you will document, report, and manage Project scope, schedule, and timeline for implementation efforts, including influencing the efforts and resources of a matrixed, cross-functional teamIn collaboration with Ascension Technology (AT) and the business, ensure governance and compliance with legislation, policies and procedures, and the overall AT strategy in the execution of project portfolios and capability roadmap realization, and measure quality and business value of investments to ensure customer satisfactionTransitions and leads workforce management operational activities to ensure continuous best practices once implementation is completeCollaborate with Ascension Technology and Procurement on monitoring performance against service-level agreements and other aspects of vendor and contract managementDevelop and execute the technical roadmap for the UKG platform, aligning with overall enterprise architecture and business objectivesLead the design, development, and implementation of complex integrations between UKG and Oracle ERP ensuring data accuracy, security and performanceOversee system configurations, customizations, and enhancements within the UKG ecosystem to meet evolving business requirementsEvaluate and recommend new UKG features, modules, or third party tools that enhance functionality or efficiency, conducting technical feasibility studiesProvide expert-level technical guidance on UKG best practices, system architecture, data models, and security protocolsManage the technical health, performance, and stability of the platform, including regular system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshootingOversee system upgrades, patches, and releases for UKG, collaborating with vendors and internal teams to ensure smooth transitions
Requirements

Education:

High School diploma equivalency with 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience
required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's
degree with 3 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years
being in leadership/management.
Additional Preferences Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred, or equivalent work experiencePrior experience leading at least one workforce management system implementation from design to launch8+ years of technical leadership or architecture roles focused on enterprise-level applications, preferably in a healthcare5+ years of technical experience with UKG productsUnderstanding of Oracle Cloud ERPPrevious supervisory/team leadership experience preferredMust be proficient in the use of sophisticated business software programs
