As we continue to expand our footprint in Canada, we’re looking for a bold, strategic leader to own and grow our wholesale business with purpose and impact. We’re hiring a Director, Wholesale – Sales, Canada, responsible for delivering exceptional commercial results, strengthening retail partnerships, and amplifying the Under Armour brand across the region. This leader will serve as the business owner for wholesale in Canada—driving our go-to-market strategy, aligning cross-functional efforts, and unlocking new opportunities for brand and revenue growth.
Your ImpactStrategic Business Leadership
• Lead the Canadian wholesale business across all commercial accounts—owning the strategy, performance, and profitability across key verticals and categories including footwear, apparel, and accessories.
• Develop and execute market-specific growth plans that align with global brand strategies and Canadian retail realities.
• Build and deepen relationships with strategic retail partners (including national accounts, regional chains, and independent retailers) to drive mutual success and category leadership.
Go-to-Market Excellence
• Lead the sales strategy and execution within the broader Go-To-Market (GTM) process—ensuring that seasonal commercial plans support and activate Under Armour’s brand and business goals in Canada.
• Collaborate closely with regional and global GTM leads to align on product, pricing, and storytelling strategies that resonate with Canadian consumers and retail partners.
• Translate seasonal brand stories and product assortments into clear, actionable sales plans for wholesale accounts, ensuring consistency across all channels. Ensure excellence in sell-in and sell-through performance, partnering with cross-functional teams to
deliver tools, insights, and support that maximize wholesale success Retail & Digital Channel
Expertise
• Be a thought leader in the evolution of the digital wholesale marketplace—leveraging platforms like wholesale.com, digital pure players, and omnichannel retail partners to build brand equity and drive demand.
• Optimize channel strategies and in-store execution, ensuring the UA brand is represented with premium presence at every touchpoint—physically and digitally.
• Use market insights, data analytics, and consumer behavior to inform strategy and elevate retail execution across the region.
Cross-Functional & Global Alignment
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners in marketing, merchandising, finance, supply chain, and product to ensure the needs of the Canadian business are clearly communicated and actioned.
• Represent the Canadian region in global planning and leadership forums—driving clarity, influencing decisions, and advocating for market-specific needs and opportunities.
Team Leadership & Culture Building
• Lead and develop a high-performing sales team based in the Toronto office, cultivating a culture of collaboration, accountability, and performance excellence.
• Champion a “One Team” mindset, ensuring integration across all departments and functions to create a unified, agile regional business unit.
• Mentor and grow team members with a focus on career development, inclusive leadership, and continuous improvement.
Travel & Market Engagement
• Travel up to 50% of the time to engage directly with retail partners, visit doors, attend corporate meetings in Baltimore HQ, and stay close to the heartbeat of the business.
• Maintain a consistent presence in the field to ensure deep market understanding and frontline connection with our consumers.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in commercial sales, preferably in the sportswear, performance apparel, or athletic footwear industry within the Canadian marketplace.
• Proven ability to manage large, complex wholesale accounts and scale growth in highly competitive retail environments.
• Deep knowledge of the Canadian retail landscape, including both brick-and-mortar and digital ecosystems.
• A commercial mindset with the ability to balance brand integrity and business performance.
• Strong business acumen, data fluency, and a performance-first mentality.
• Demonstrated success in leading high-performing teams and building inclusive, collaborative cultures.
• Experience operating within a global matrixed organization is an asset.
• Passion for sport, innovation, and empowering athletes at every level.
