Job Description

Visa Direct is Visa’s real-time push payments platform that enables businesses, governments, and individuals to send money quickly, securely, and directly to eligible debit cards, bank accounts, and wallets globally and collect foreign currencies as a local. The platform underpins a wide range of use cases—including person-to-person (P2P) transfers, business payouts, merchant settlements, cross-border remittances, multi-currency collection accounts for consumers and businesses—delivering fast, reliable, and scalable payment solutions across more than 190 countries and territories

The Visa Direct Commercialisation and Solutions team is responsible for leading Visa’s product solutions, commercialization and go to market efforts in Asia Pacific to support all channels and use cases for money movement. The Visa card network is one of the underlying rails for Visa Direct payment capabilities that supports push funds and pull funds using Visa cards for money movement use cases including remittances, disbursements and account funding use cases.

We are seeking a lead for the card issuer ecosystem enablement function who can help drive critical ecosystem issuer enablement goals for priority money movement use cases for the region on the Visa Direct card network. The ideal candidate needs to have a strong understanding of card issuing business, issuer processing systems and back-office operations for credit, debit and prepaid card issuers to be able to advise solutions to Visa card issuers for enabling acceptance of domestic and cross border money movement use cases by issuers. He/she will be responsible for the development and execution of performance optimization campaigns and initiatives for adherence to rule compliance partnering with the Account Executives, Visa Rules and Client Service Operations teams to achieve optimal issuer acceptance rates, regulatory compliance and electronic data quality for strong success rates of Visa card network money movement programs. This is a critical role that ensures high ecosystem standards and performance directly impacting the success of Visa’s movement program including domestic and cross border remittances, account funding, disbursements and payouts.

He/she needs to be a structured, analytical thinker with excellent communication skills and a strong interest in how products are developed, delivered and successfully activated in the market. S/he enjoys variety and collaborating with people. S/he is thoughtful, curious and analytical with a desire to make an impact. S/he is client-centric and oriented around finding solutions to complex problems.

This role will report to the Regional Head of Commercialization and Solutions for Visa Direct and will be accountable for issuer ecosystem enablement, acceptance and use case activation goals for the Visa Direct Card capabilities. Equal parts product ownership and solutioning the role holder will plan, think through, develop and support commercialization of the Visa Direct capabilities with Visa issuing clients and technology partners.

Responsibilities

 

You will be responsible for leading the issuer enablement and solutioning function working collaboratively with Visa Direct hub and in-market teams, Account Executives and Client Service Management teams for value proposition pitch and solutioning with issuers to develop ideal issuer ecosystem readiness for higher adoption and growth of Visa Direct Card use cases. You will need to:

 

Consult with issuing clients and their tech partners to design solutions that accelerate implementation and acceptance of Visa Direct receive into card.Support the commercialisation team In launching new programs, market expansion and use case activation collaborating closely with the merchant/remitter origination team to drive successful launches and post launch optimization and growth.Provide business and technical solutions to issuing clients of Visa for new use-cases by assessing market/client needs, reviewing ecosystem readiness and collaboration with regional, global, and product and commercialization teamsBe a Visa Direct Card product SME and support issuer implementations with the objective of achieving high quality acceptance rates for faster scaling of programs driving revenue realizationDrive rules and compliance mandates for issuers collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders including Legal, Finance, Client Support (CS), Risk, Compliance, AML, and other product teams across VisaMonitor business enhancement releases and other product related changes and be a focal point of contact for the AP region for issuer enablement scopeRepresent voice of the client within the product roadmap and work closely with product development teams to ensure issuer readiness in implementing new solutions

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Minimum 12 years of experience in payments, banking or payment processing, having performed presales, product management, or client solutioning roles in card issuing or issuer processing. Experience in cross-border payments is a plus.Skilled at explaining client value propositions, product features and functionality and can clearly articulate technical solutionsAbility to explain complex business and technical concepts to broad audiences in an approachable way.Understanding of mobile, API and service-oriented architectureOrganizational and leadership abilities to influence team members to execute and drive resultsEmbrace change and ambiguity in an ecosystem that is rapidly evolvingConsultative solutions experience within an enterprise or financial services environment is desiredKnowledge of regional market, competitive landscape and related dynamicsAbility to think creatively to solve problems with customers at the center
