Director, Technology Operations- North Region
**WHAT'S THE ROLE** The Director, Technology Operations (DTO) serves as the senior technology and operations leader for the North Island Ventures (Cayman, British Virgin Islands, St. Marteen, Antigua, Montserrat, Turks and Caicos, St. Kitts, and Anguilla), acting as the leading interface between the North Ventures Senior Leadership Team (SLT), global Technology & Innovation (T&I) functions, and the VPTO. This role ensures seamless execution of both global strategies and local priorities across all technology domains, including Fixed Networks, Mobile Networks, Installation & Repair, IT Operations, and Construction. The DTO is accountable for the delivery of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), including build, maintenance, service delivery, service quality and productivity targets across Mobile, Broadband, Landline, and TV. The role directly leads local technology operations teams, while also partnering with central Technology, Product Development, IT, Finance, and Commercial teams to align business needs with technology execution. This leader ensures business continuity, drives operational excellence, and secures the delivery of technology initiatives that support revenue growth, customer experience, and efficiency. **What You’ll Do** + Act as the primary technology partner to the SLT, representing technology in leadership meetings and governance forums. + Lead the transition of local teams into new operating models while ensuring business continuity of network and IT operations. + Direct and lead all aspects of local operations: Installation Services & Repair, Core Network Operations, Access Network Operations, IT Operations, and Construction. + Manage demand and service delivery for market specific requirements, orchestrating activities across multiple T&I verticals. + Develop, execute, and monitor technology and operational roadmaps aligned with both global strategies and local market needs. + Deliver on AOP (OPEX and CAPEX) targets by leading tactical and strategic network and technology initiatives. + Ensure attainment of KPIs and SLAs between global T&I and the regional markets, reporting regularly on performance and escalating critical issues. + Oversee product performance and lifecycle management for Broadband, Voice, Mobile, and TV services across B2B and B2C segments, ensuring networks perform optimally to maximize revenues and minimize leakage. + Partner with commercial teams on network performance objectives, go-to-market plans, and expansion/penetration initiatives. + Lead business case development for capital investments, technology deployments, and commercial product launches. + Negotiate with local suppliers to improve affordability and gross margin outcomes. + Partner with regional/global technology and care teams to improve operational efficiency, OPEX management, and customer experience outcomes (including NPS). + Lead performance reviews, develop business intelligence reporting, and ensure alignment between technology delivery and business priorities. **What You’ll Need** **Knowledge & Experience** + 10+ years of senior-level experience in technology operations, engineering, or IT, with proven leadership in telecom or related industries. + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s or MBA a plus). + Deep experience in leading core, access, and mobile network operations, IT systems, installation & repair, and construction. + Consistent track record of delivering against financial and operational targets in complex, matrixed organizations. + Experience across both centralized/global functions and local market operations, preferably within LATAM & Caribbean markets. + Proven success in remote management of virtual teams. + Fluency in English (spoken and written). **Skills & Abilities** + Respected, confident, and credible influencer with strong presence in local operations. + Strong leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skills with ability to align cross-functional teams. + Expert in business case development, operational cost optimization, and resource management (people, assets, budgets). + Analytical and results-driven, with the ability to simplify complex issues and make decisive, informed decisions. + Collaborative and consultative style;
