Overview We’re seeking a strategic, hands‑on Director of Technology for Marketing Operations to lead the architecture, integration, and optimization of marketing technology stack. In this role, you will bridge marketing strategy and technical execution—driving CRM initiatives, building proof‑of‑concepts, and enabling scalable campaigns through platforms like Adobe Experience Cloud, Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), and Braze. You’ll partner closely with CRM leadership to shape our roadmap, measure success, and deliver seamless, data‑driven experiences. Responsibilities Solution Architecture & Integration Design and maintain a robust, flexible marketing technology ecosystem that supports email, web, mobile, social, and event channels. Lead integrations between CRM, automation, analytics, and third‑party tools (e.g., data warehouses, CDPs, ad networks). Govern API strategies and middleware (e.g., webhooks, ETL) to ensure real‑time data flow and system reliability. CRM Strategy & Management Own the end‑to‑end CRM roadmap: data modeling, segmentation, lead scoring, lifecycle campaigns, and reporting. Partner with Sales Ops and Data teams to align marketing and sales systems, processes, and SLAs. Ensure data hygiene, compliance (e.g., GDPR, CAN‑SPAM), and privacy best practices across all campaigns. Proof‑of‑Concepts & Innovation Rapidly prototype and demonstrate new integrations, features, or workflows to validate technical feasibility and business value. Evaluate emerging Martech vendors and present POCs to leadership with clear success criteria and ROI analysis. Platform Expertise & Optimization Deep expertise in Adobe Experience Cloud (Campaign, Journey Optimizer, Target, Analytics), Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and Braze. Define and enforce best practices for campaign setup, automation rules, template development, and testing. Monitor platform health, performance, and usage metrics; drive continuous improvement and cost optimization. Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Leadership Serve as the primary technical liaison between Marketing, IT, Data, and external agencies/vendors. Mentor and grow a team of marketing operations engineers and specialists. Build and deliver executive‑level presentations, roadmaps, and program updates. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Marketing Technology, or related field. MBA or advanced degree a plus. • 8+ years of progressive experience in marketing technology, with 3+ years in a leadership or director‑level role. • Proven CRM expertise—hands‑on with SFMC (Email Studio, Journey Builder), Adobe Campaign/Journey Optimizer, and Braze. • Strong solution‑architecture background, including API design, middleware/platform selection, and data modeling. • Demonstrated success creating POCs: rapid prototyping, proof testing, and stakeholder buy‑in. • Exceptional presentation skills and comfort speaking to senior leadership. • Excellent project management skills—ability to juggle multiple initiatives, priorities, and deadlines. • Strong analytical mindset, metrics‑driven decision making, and experience with SQL or other query languages. • Familiarity with compliance requirements (GDPR, CCPA, CAN‑SPAM) and data privacy best practices. Preferred Skills & Attributes • Experience with additional Martech tools (e.g., Marketo, HubSpot, Iterable, Amplitude). • Hands‑on coding/scripting ability (JavaScript, Node.js, Python). • Knowledge of CDPs and BI platforms. • Certification in Adobe,Braze or Salesforce Marketing Cloud products. • Proven track record of leading distributed/remote teams. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met.
