Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025. Here you can: Versant is looking for a Director, Talent Management and Culture to join their team! This role will play an integral part of the newly created Versant Talent team and will help define what talent and culture look like at Versant—fostering a culture where continuous development is expected, supported, and celebrated. You’ll be a key partner in launching foundational talent management programs and systems, from performance management to feedback processes, employee surveys and more. You’ll also have a hand in helping us build out employee engagement and culture initiatives, from inclusion initiatives to cultural events that are uniquely Versant. The Director, Culture & Engagement will be the driving force behind building and sustaining a high-performing, inclusive, and purpose-driven culture. This is a unique opportunity to build from the ground up—crafting employee experiences that align with our mission, shape our values, and spark authentic engagement across the organization. You’ll work at the intersection of people strategy, internal communications, and employee experience, playing a key role in how our brand lives not just in the world, but within our walls. What you’ll do: + Design and Lead Culture Strategy: Build and execute a comprehensive culture and engagement roadmap aligned with company vision, values, and business goals. + Be a Systems Pro: work in our existing Talent Systems and partner with our HR ops team to optimize the employee end user experience with them. Look outside for potential new talent systems (i.e survey tools, etc). and platforms that might help us achieve our talent goals for the future. + Champion Employee Engagement: Working with HR Business Partners and Internal Comms and Total Rewards, develop programs that strengthen employee connection, voice, and purpose—including engagement surveys, action planning, recognition, and well-being initiatives. + Drive Internal Communications: Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver compelling narratives and internal comms that inform, inspire, and align employees. + Build Rituals & Experiences: Curate unforgettable moments that reflect who we are—company-wide events, onboarding experiences, creative town halls, and more. + Advance Inclusion & Belonging: Partner closely with internal leads to ensure our culture reflects and supports diverse identities, perspectives, and communities. + Measure Impact: Define KPIs and regularly assess employee sentiment, engagement metrics, and cultural health to guide decisions and iterate strategy. + Advise Leaders: Act as a trusted thought partner to execs and people managers on culture, team dynamics, and org effectiveness. + Be a Role Model Leader and a Flexible Teammate: Lead and manage 1 team member (manager level) and be open to pitching in on Talent initiatives (employee training, etc.) where needed – remember, we are a new organization with a blank slate ahead of us! What you’ll need: + 8–10+ years of progressive experience in Culture, Employee Engagement, Internal Communications, Organizational Development or related fields. + Proven success leading culture strategy and people-centered initiatives at scale—preferably within creative, media, tech, or entertainment environments. + Deep understanding of employee engagement best practices and change management. + Exceptional communication and storytelling skills—with a strong pulse on tone, timing, and empathy. + Strategic thinker who thrives in a fast-moving, startup-like environment and brings both vision and execution. + Experience with engagement tools, surveys, and employee insights platforms. + Strong belief in the power of people, purpose, and creativity.
