Purpose of the Role:Reporting to the Vice President of Global Supply Chain Operations, the Director drives business transformation through the deployment and optimization of Kinaxis Maestro and integration of AI/agentic automation into core supply chain processes.
The role focuses on transforming and continuously improving the SI&OP process for McKesson’s Private Label generics business (NorthStar, Aisling, SIVEM, Foster & Thrive), leading the Supply Chain Centre of Excellence (COE) team to optimize digital planning tools and enhance supply chain outcomes.
Ensures the Private Label supply chain team sustains new ways of working in Kinaxis and continually improves business outcomes.
Engage with technology providers, consultants, and industry peers to stay abreast of supply chain best practices and emerging technology trends.
Digital Transformation & System Enablement:
Champion the deployment and optimization of Kinaxis Maestro and SAP/S4 HANA, maximizing technology alignment with business needs.Serve as the primary liaison between Supply Chain, Technology, and business teams to ensure system adoption and process alignment.Coordinate with stakeholders to support deployment, resolve issues, and adapt strategies to evolving business needs.Facilitate data integration and system performance for dashboards, analytics, and closed-loop planning.Collaborate with Data Governance teams to align SI&OP strategy with system capabilities and data requirements.Lead the integration of AI and automation into supply chain processes, treating AI as a strategic lever for ongoing transformation.AI Implementation & Business Transformation:
Analyze supply chain processes to identify automation opportunities and challenges.Develop phased implementation plans, prioritizing high-impact, low-complexity automation (i.e. leveraging Microsoft 365 Copilot and Gen AI)Collaborate with business and technology teams to select and deploy scalable automation tools.Build in-house AI and process optimization expertise (e.g., AIM28 AI Advocacy program).Foster a culture of innovation and employee engagement in automation and process improvement.Implement KPIs to measure automation impact and drive continuous process refinement.COE Leadership & Team Development:
Manage, coach, and develop the COE team, fostering continuous improvement and digital transformation.Empower the team as experts in Kinaxis Maestro and planning systems, ensuring effective deployment and user adoption.Guide the team in providing tools, training, and support to Private Label Supply Chain and stakeholders.Promote ILEAD-aligned leadership behaviors, encouraging innovation, collaboration, and a growth mindset.Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SI&OP):Promote alignment by understanding and communicating customer needs across the organization.Provide strategic direction for business planning, leveraging expertise in supply planning processes.Lead the monthly SI&OP cycle in Kinaxis, including Supply Review, risk assessment, and contingency planning.Align supply forecasts with financial plans and reconcile supply/capacity plans for optimal resource utilization.Lead integrated planning across operations, commercial, finance, and external suppliers to optimize procurement, production, inventory, and distribution.Standardize planning tools and templates, ensuring consistent and efficient processes.Performance Metrics & Continuous Improvement:Establish and monitor key performance metrics for supply chain planning and forecasting.Lead initiatives to improve planning accuracy, system utilization, and supply chain efficiency.Support new feature rollouts, system upgrades, and process changes, ensuring smooth adoption.Maintain current SOPs, job descriptions, and training documentation.Document deployment activities, assumptions, and performance metrics.Minimum Education & Required ExperienceAt least 12+ years professional experience, 4+ years management experience.Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent operations experience.Desired: APICS or ISM certification; Six Sigma MBB/Black Belt or Lean Manufacturing certifications.Extensive experience in advanced planning systems (Kinaxis, SAP IBP, o9 Solutions, Blue Yonder), including AI and agentic automation in supply chain.Proven track record in SCM or business transformation programs.Exceptional influencing and stakeholder engagement skills; experience leading cross-functional networks.Highly skilled in project management and PMO methodologies.Strong business results in operations and supply chain.Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills.Advanced understanding of supply chain planning in Operations and Commercial Supply Chain Management.Leadership BehaviorsDemonstrates advanced relationship management, mentoring, and talent development.Makes rapid, disciplined decisions, setting clear deadlines and analyzing urgency.Encourages innovation and risk-taking to advance business objectives.Builds trust by delivering on commitments and achieving measurable results.Applies analytic tools to solve problems and simplify processes.Creates and manages cross-functional networks, seeking diverse perspectives for high-quality decisions.At McKesson, we care about the well-being of the patients and communities we serve, and that starts with caring for our people. This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.
