DESCRIPTION:
As Director of Supply Chain at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will guide end-to-end supply chain operations to enable our mission of making the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. You will develop and implement effective strategies to optimize material availability, inventory performance, and order fulfillment while supporting continuous improvement across the organization. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will coordinate Sales, Operations, and Inventory Planning (SIOP) processes, manage supply chain transformation initiatives, and develop high-performing teams focused on operational excellence. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact by enhancing customer satisfaction, optimizing working capital, improving productivity, and supporting our company's growth objectives through effective supply chain management.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Advanced Degree plus 6 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years of experience in progressive supply chain management with at least 5-7 years in leadership roles
• Preferred Fields of Study: Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or related field
• APICS certification strongly recommended
• Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification preferred
• Lean Manufacturing certification valued
• Comprehensive knowledge in end-to-end supply chain planning, including demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and materials management
• Successful experience implementing and managing SIOP processes across complex organizations
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced planning tools (SAP, Kinaxis, etc.)
• Strong financial acumen with P&L management experience
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across all organizational levels
• Experience in GMP/regulated environments (Life Sciences, Pharma, Medical Device) preferred
• Demonstrated success implementing continuous improvement and change management initiatives
• Effective team leadership abilities with experience managing geographically dispersed teams
• Ability to travel 25-30%
• Experience developing talent and building organizational capabilities

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Massachusetts is $160,100.00–$213,400.00.
