The Director, Supplier Management, is responsible for creating, implementing and overseeing the Clinical Research Group's Vendor Management Strategy, ensuring that vendor relationships are effectively managed to optimize performance, mitigate risks, and deliver maximum value to the organization. This strategic role requires a leader with deep expertise in vendor and performance management.
Scale of Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive vendor management strategy aligned with the organization’s goals and objectives.Lead the Vendor Management Office, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Establish and maintain vendor management policies and procedures.Act as the primary point of contact for escalations and critical vendor issues.Collaborate with legal and procurement teams to manage contract risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.Represent the Group in Sponsor Reviews regarding supplier risk assessments and due diligence auditsPartner with internal collaborators including IT, finance, operations, quality assurance and procurement, to understand business needs and align vendor strategies accordingly.Drive cross-functional collaboration to drive vendor-related initiatives and projectsLeadership Responsibilities

Minimum 10 years of progressive responsibility with at least 7 years’ experience in Procurement.Degree in business administration, finance, supply chain management or equivalent.Extensive experience in vendor management, preferably within the clinical research or pharmaceutical industryProven track record of managing vendor relationships to optimize performance and mitigate risks.Experience in developing and implementing comprehensive vendor management strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives.Experience collaborating with legal and procurement teams to manage contract risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.Experience partnering with internal teams (IT, finance, operations, procurement) to understand business needs and align vendor strategies accordingly.Ability to develop and implement strategic vendor management plans that align with organizational goalsAbility to confidently lead through ambiguity and change.Must have organizationally savvy and the ability to ask the right questions to accurately analyze situations.Project management capability and demonstrated experience managing executive level programs/ projects.Implement with a sense of urgency, addresses roadblocks and solve problems.Build strong relationships and collaborate effectively as all levels of the organization.Ability to travel internationally and domestically, as needed.High level of English language competency (verbal and written)Benefits
