The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) is accepting applications for the position of Director, Student-Athlete Development. This is a career, full-time position with a targeted salary range of $85,000 - $105,000/year with full health benefits and membership in the UC Retirement Plan. The Director of Student-Athlete Development supports and advances the mission of the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics by coordinating and implementing programs that enhance the personal growth, leadership development, life skills, and community engagement of student-athletes. Reporting directly to the Assistant Athletics Director of Student-Athlete Development, this position plays a pivotal role in executing strategic initiatives, managing signature programs, and building relationships with campus, community, and professional partners. The Director will oversee designated program areas, supervise assigned staff and student leaders, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, impactful programming.

All applicants should demonstrate the following abilities and requirements:  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience & training required; Master’s degree preferred; 2–4 years of experience in student-athlete support, student development, or a related field; Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities; Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and written communication skills; Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations related to promotional activities and student-athlete welfare; Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed. Preferred qualifications include: experience with event planning, leadership training, life skills instruction, or community engagement; Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced environment; Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for diverse populations; Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with program tracking tools or databases.
