Job Description

The Director of Strategic Mfg Initiatives will lead the development and execution of strategies to optimize our manufacturing footprint across multiple facilities worldwide. This role requires a visionary leader with a deep understanding of supply chain management, and operational excellence. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of driving product/ mfg transfers to support tariff mitigation and/or costs reduction efforts, improving operational efficiencies, and implementing large scale change.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement comprehensive strategies to enable the manufacturing footprint, including facility consolidation, relocation, and expansion.Work together with cross-departmental teams, such as operations, supply chain, finance, and engineering, to guarantee alignment and effective implementation of footprint optimization projects.Maintain relationships with essential collaborators, like suppliers and regulatory bodies, to ensure adherence and successful project completion.Set and monitor targets to assess the progress and impact of footprint optimization efforts.Prepare and present regular reports to senior leadership, highlighting progress, challenges, and recommendations for future actions.Keep updated on industry trends, new technologies, and guidelines in manufacturing and supply chain management.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Bio Chemical Engineering is required.Ten plus years of experience in chemical manufucaturing with at least 5 years in a leadership role.Prior consulting experience focused on costs intiatives is preferred..Proficient analytical abilities with the capacity to analyze intricate data and formulate practical conclusions.Outstanding communication and leadership abilities, able to influence and collaborate effectively with executive leadership, collaborators, and cross-functional teams.Profound understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and operational excellence methodologies.Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement frameworks.Ability to travel as needed to coordinate global manufacturing operations and projects. Extensive experience with cross-functional project portfolio, including prioritization and sequencing to enhance business impact.Strong background in change management and transformation with expertise in driving adoption of new processes, technology adoption, and business practices across diverse teams.Experience in consumables and/or columns is preferred.
