Director, Strategic HR Business Partner – LATAM

The Director, Strategic HR Business Partner – LATAM leads talent management, engagement, and organizational design for the regional Architectural Coatings business unit. As part of the leadership team, you will work with the regional AC VP to drive business results and to enable the HR Service Delivery function with the data needed for successful local execution. This position in based in Mexico City and will report to the Global AC HR Director.

Key Responsibilities

Organization Development & Effectiveness (30%):

Design and implement organizational structures aligned with strategy and cost reduction goals by monitoring and optimizing performance.Collaborate with the business to identify and develop necessary capabilities through recruiting, training, and outsourcing.Lead change management projects, measuring impact and benefit realization.

Workforce Planning (30%):

Identify opportunities to improve organizational structure according to strategic goals.Develop headcount forecasts by collaborating with leaders across the region, considering ongoing business initiatives.Ensure accurate tracking and completion of detailed reports and templates, providing insightful commentary.

Capability Building (25%):

Guide leaders managing performance processes to ensure calibrated, merit-based decisions aligned with outcomes.Lead strategic hiring by creating precise job descriptions that reflect the critical requirements of senior roles and participate in interview panels and executive onboarding.Partner with leaders to implement talent assessments and development plans by providing coaching to support behavioral change following corporate and regional dynamics. Additionally, facilitate engagement initiatives to foster a motivated and connected workforce.

Commercial and Operational Excellence (15%):

Develop and enhance Commercial Excellence capabilities, lead the deployment of CE transformation projects, and collaborate with key business leaders to review and optimize Sales Incentive Plans.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in matrixed industrial manufacturing and retail environments, including engineering and blue-collar settings within international businesses.10+ years as an international HR leader covering all HR functions such as business partnering, leadership development, organization design, recruitment, talent management, labor relations, and budgeting.5+ years in HR leadership for large regions or divisions, serving as a key member of regional or divisional leadership in complex international manufacturing organizations.Bachelor's degree in HR, business or related field. A master's degree is preferred.Fluency in English. Portuguese is a plus.Business partner with an approach, leading HR strategies and managing change during crises to ensure business continuity and employee well-being.International experience across Latin America, can navigate regional labor laws, cultures, and HR practices.
