Director, Strategic Alliances

Description

ICF seeks a dynamic strategic alliances leader to join our digital platform team within our Digital Modernization and Experience (DMX) Group. You’ll oversee our technology partner ecosystem – identify emerging technology player, formalize and incubate partnerships and lead some of our cross-cutting strategic alliance partnerships such as AWS, Snowflake and Databricks.  

These relationships are foundational to ICF’s ability to bring clients world-class digital solutions – while also driving ICF’s revenue growth and enhancing ICF’s competitive position in the market.   

The Director of Strategic Alliances will grow and deepen relationships with our most strategic partners and execute against well-defined joint business plans – driving compelling business results for ICF and its partners.    

Key Responsibilities: 

Emerging Technology Partner Development:  Identify, evaluate and incubate emerging technology vendors that align with the go-to-market business objectives of our business units and strategy team, focusing the full spectrum of start-up to established plays to build a focused partner pipeline. 

Strategic Partnership Management: Oversee and enhance partnerships with major cloud providers (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud) to drive business impact, including developing annual partner plans, marketing and strategic initiatives like competencies. 

Cross-Department Coordination: Act as a liaison between business units, business development, capture, marketing, IT and other teams to optimize partner impact and ensure cohesive efforts. 

Performance and Impact: Define and track KPIs for partnership success, ensuring alignment with company objectives. 

Executive Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with partner executives to support open communication and strategic alignment 

Partner Contracting: Negotiate partnership agreements, in close collaboration with our contracts team, to manage complex business engagements from initiation to closing that achieve favorable terms with sustaining strong, collaborative relationships.  

Market and Industry Insight: Monitor industry trends and competitive landscapes to inform strategic decisions and partnership directions. 

Leveraging Technology: Use AI and modern tools to enhance partnership management and drive innovation. 

Basic Qualifications: 

10+ years of proven experience in strategic alliances, partnerships, business development, marketing and solution development. 

5+ years of demonstrated success in identifying, negotiating, and managing technology partnerships, at both ends of the partner spectrum start-ups and new-market players as well as those with well established partner programs like AWS.  

5+ years of experience in managing through influencing large teams in client-facing meetings and complex concept facilitation.  

5+ years of prior experience in business consulting at a professional services company  

Ability to travel 25%, or more as required 

Must be a US Citizen  

Preferred Experience: 

Deep understanding of and passion for public sector/government as well as next-generation technology solutions  

Strong relationships with major cloud and technology providers like AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud as well as Snowflake, Databricks 

Proven leadership skills, experience developing and implementing partner business plans and go-to-market strategies, and driving large sales efforts (>$1M), including working with both business and technology buyers. 

Fluency in contract review and negotiation. 

Product/solution management 

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, prioritize multiple initiatives, and collaborate effectively across all levels of an organization. 

Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and develop creative solutions.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:

$143,041.00 - $243,170.00
