Now Brewing – director, Social and Influencers! #tobeapartner

From the beginning, Starbucks set out to be a different kind of company. One that not only celebrated coffee and the rich tradition, but that also brought a feeling of connection. We are known for developing extraordinary leaders who share this passion and are guided by their service to others.

We’re looking for a visionary, culture carrier to shape the future of Starbucks’ social and influencer strategy. As Director of Social and Influencers, you’ll lead the charge in building breakthrough moments that spark conversation, deepen brand love, and connect with communities in meaningful ways.

You’ll oversee the strategy and execution across Starbucks’ social channels, leading a team that’s passionate about storytelling, innovation, and cultural relevance. From daily content to campaigns and activations, you’ll ensure our brand shows up with authenticity, creativity, and purpose.

Your impact will include: leading a high-performing team of social strategists, creators, and community managers, building an influencer team to co-create with creators who reflect the diversity and values of our brand, collaborating across Marketing, Communications, and Partnerships to amplify key initiatives and drive earned media, developing culturally resonant content that drives engagement and builds brand affinity, and championing innovation, coffee storytelling, and connection that reflects the heart of Starbucks. You’ll thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and play a pivotal role in shaping how Starbucks shows up in culture—digitally and beyond.

As a Director of Social and Influencers, you will…

·       Create the Plan – Develop and implement a comprehensive vision for Starbucks across Social Media, Social Listening and Engagement, and Influencers that drives mass visibility, engagement, buzz, and brand love, and aligns with Starbucks’ marketing strategy and goals

·       Set the tone – Refine Starbucks’ brand voice, tone, look, and feel as a culturally-relevant, premium brand with acute attention to detail on how it comes to life

·       Build the team – Develop a world-class Social and Influencer team of top-performers who are empowered to dream big and drive results

·       Break the internet – Lead the internal and agency teams to execute innovative, insight-driven, shareworthy content daily across platforms

·       Scale the work - Partner with channel reps, Media team, and Comms to amplify content, drive earned media, and broaden awareness

·       Work well with others – Partner with Brand Marketing, Brand Activations, Partnerships, Starbucks Rewards, and Menu teams to create culturally-led activations that drive mass earned media for seasonal and product launches

·       Partner with Platforms – Create brand-first moments with our channel platforms, unlocking new opportunities, fresh ways to activate insights, and out-of-the-box thinking

·       Be organized – Manage production and editorial calendars to support planned and reactive content

·       Manage up - Use weekly/monthly reports to identify and communicate insights and optimizations to guide future strategy development with leadership

·       Obsess the consumer and react at the speed of culture – Social Engagement team to monitor user generated content for real-time insights and reactive opportunities

We’re looking for a bold, strategic leader to shape the future of social and influencer marketing at Starbucks.

We’d love to hear from people with…

·       10+ years of progressive experience in social media, influencer strategy, and brand marketing—preferably within food, lifestyle, fashion, beauty, or culture-driven brands

·       A proven track record of building breakthrough campaigns that drive cultural relevance, spark conversation, and earn media attention

·       Deep fluency in social platforms, creator ecosystems, and emerging digital trends

·       Experience leading cross-functional teams and external agencies or partners to deliver integrated, high-impact work

·       Strong business acumen with the ability to connect brand storytelling to measurable outcomes

·       A passion for innovation, inclusivity, and purpose-driven marketing that reflects the values of the Starbucks brand
