Iron Mountain is seeking a dynamic and experienced **Director, Site Development Strategy** to join our Iron Mountain Data Centers team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading land and power acquisition efforts across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa to secure sites for future data center development, ensuring long-term energy strategy and regulatory compliance. The Iron Mountain Data Centers team is at the forefront of expanding our digital infrastructure footprint and is committed to sustainability and operational excellence across our global portfolio.
**What You’ll Do (Core Responsibilities)**
In this role, you will:
+ Develop and execute the site development strategy across key regional markets by sourcing and evaluating land acquisition opportunities to secure future development sites.
+ Lead energy and power procurement initiatives by collaborating with utility providers and internal stakeholders to assess power availability and secure renewable energy solutions.
+ Ensure compliance with organizational and local regulatory standards by managing zoning, entitlements, and permitting processes to achieve project readiness across multiple jurisdictions.
**What You’ll Bring (Skills & Qualifications)**
The ideal candidate will have:
+ Extensive experience in data center infrastructure or commercial real estate development within the Europe, Middle East, and Africa markets.
+ Strong knowledge of site selection and power strategy, including complex utility negotiations and renewable energy procurement.
+ Proven ability in stakeholder management and negotiation, with a successful track record of delivering multi-market infrastructure projects.
+ Expertise in Environmental, Social, and Governance compliance frameworks relevant to sustainability-focused global development.
