**What you'll be doing**
Reporting to the Senior Director, Portfolio Management, Optimization, and Analytics, as Director, Secured Portfolio and Small Business, you will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for CIBC’s secured lending and small business collections portfolios. You will drive the development and execution of strategies to optimize portfolio performance, manage delinquency and loss mitigation, and ensure compliance with regulatory and risk management requirements. By partnering with cross-functional teams, you will enhance portfolio health, improve client experience, and support sustainable business growth. You will champion the adoption of advanced analytics, digital solutions, and process improvements to deliver best-in-class outcomes for CIBC and its clients.

**How you'll succeed**
+ **Analytics** **-** Monitor and analyze secured and small business portfolio performance using data queries, segment analysis, and feedback from front-line staff.Create targeted strategies by segmenting accounts based on risk profiles and business needs.Lead initiatives to improve collection effectiveness, operational efficiency, and client experience across allchannels.Conductappropriate regressionand trend analyses toidentifypredictive variables for delinquency, cure rates, andlossmitigation.
+ **Innovation and Results Driven Business Insights** **-** Develop a 1–3-year roadmap for secured and small business portfolio strategies, ensuring alignment with CAM’s goals and regulatory requirements.Champion adoption of advanced analytics, digital solutions, and process improvements to enhance portfolio management.Drive continuous improvement by analyzing customer behavior, market trends, and emerging risks.Deliver comprehensive recommendations and proposals to management, including executives and business leaders.
+ **People Leadership** **-** Build, coach, and lead a high-performing team,providingdevelopment opportunities and fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.Allocate resources effectively to achieve business goals and manage performance through regular feedback and clear expectations.Ensure compliance with CIBC’s policies, standards, and controls.
+ **Engagement and Communication** **-** Build andmaintaineffective cross-functional relationships with Risk Management, Product, Technology, Operations, and external partners todeliver onportfolioobjectives.Represent CAM in committees and working groups focused on secured and small business lending.Provide subject matterexpertiseon secured and small business credit risk, collections, and regulatory matters.Maintain industry knowledge of regulatory changes, market trends, and best practices by developing productive relationships with leading vendors and stakeholders.
**Who you are**
+ **Graduate Degree Holder in Business or Finance, or Equivalent Professional Experience.** You hold a graduate degree in Business, Finance, or a related field, or have equivalent experience.
+ **Experienced Financial Services Leader with Expertise in Risk Management and Portfolio Strategy.** You bring 7+ years of leadership experience in financial services or risk management. You have strong knowledge of secured and small business lending policies, practices, and regulatory requirements.Youdemonstratethe ability to develop and execute portfolio strategies, manage risk, and drive operational excellence.You are experienced with advanced analytics, digital tools, and process improvement methodologies.You excel at stakeholder management, communication, and influencing others.You have a proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
