At Charles Schwab, we put clientsatthe center of everything we do. As a Director on the Retail Client Experience team, you will lead complex,high impactinitiativesincluding but not limited tothe intersection ofclient experience, fraud risk, and money movement.
In this role, you will tackle some of the firm’s most challenging and ambiguousproblems,where protectingandadvocating forclients, enabling seamlessexperiences, and managing risk must all coexist. You will shape strategy, evaluate options, and influence senior leaders by clearly articulating tradeoffs and recommendations that improve outcomes for both clients and the firm.
This is ahigh visibilityleadership rolerequiring strong judgment, executive presence, and the ability to drive alignment across product, risk, compliance, fraud, and technology partners.

Lead strategic initiatives focused onfraud prevention, authentication, and money movement,identifyingclient pain points and opportunity areasalong with other initiativesFrame complex problems, evaluate multiple solution paths, and presentclear,executive readyrecommendationsPartner closely withClient-facing teams,Risk, Compliance,Digital, Operations, Legal, Product, and Technologyteams to balance client experience with sound risk controlsServe as aclient advocate, ensuring solutions protect clients without creating unnecessary frictionBuild compelling presentations that translate complexity into actionable decisionsHire, develop, and lead a small team, including responsibility forsenior leveltalentInfluence outcomes across teams and leaders without direct authorityWhat you haveRequired Qualifications:
Background in strategy, consulting, orclient productleadership within regulated environmentsDemonstrated success navigatingambiguous problem spacesand driving alignment through structured thinkingStrongexecutive communication and presentation skills, including experience presenting to senior leadersExperience partnering acrossrisk, compliance, and control functionsPrior people leadership experience, or readiness to step into a people leader roleBachelor’s degree or equivalent experiencePreferred Qualifications:
Experience inretail banking, brokerage, payments, or digital financial platformsExperience working on or closely partnering with teams responsible formoney movement, fraud prevention, authentication, or client riskTrack recordof influencing decisions by presentingoptions, tradeoffs, and recommendationsExperience leadingcross functionalinitiatives without direct ownershipWhat’s in it for you
