Raytheon’s LADS (Land & Air Defense Systems) Strategic Business Unit is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic individual for the role of Requirements and Capabilities Director for the Precision Fires and Maneuver Portfolio. The Director will be responsible for identifying and understanding market needs for growth, working with existing customers and establishing new customers, developing strategies and deploying tactics to execute and meet the LADS Long-Range Plan.
The Director reports to the Senior Director for United States Requirements and Capabilities; provides leadership and direction to four (4) direct report professionals and will provide direct support across several Programs and Global Capture Managers in not only the LADS Strategic Business Unit (SBU) but also several other SBU’s across Raytheon. This Director supports the development of strategy, briefs leadership, and leads business development, opportunity shaping, proposal management and capture in support of the annual booking's plan. The Director will participate in assessing customers’ wants and needs, as well as bringing broad market knowledge to assist in identification and qualification of new business opportunities. The Director will lead the development of Senior Leader talking points, capability white papers, customer presentations, and develop and manage marketing materials consistent with Raytheon policy and LADS strategy and technology roadmaps.
The Director will be the subject matter expert for US Requirements & Capabilities and will serve as the leader for all actions, opportunities and customers across the Department of Defense, including the Army Staff, Battle Labs, Program Managers, and Requirements Directorates at Redstone Arsenal, AL; Detroit Arsenal, MI; Picatinny Arsenal, NJ; Fort Benning, GA; Fort Rucker, AL and Ft. Sill, OK.
What You Will Do
Customer Interface and Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for Army Precision Fires and Maneuver stakeholders and respective subordinate commands, building and maintaining strong relationships. Understand and align our strategies with the customer’s organizational processes and mission sets. Business Capture Strategies and Pipeline Development: Develop and implement creative and effective business capture strategies tailored to Army Precision Fires and Maneuver requirements and goals including growth pipeline developmentCross-business Support: While primarily home-roomed within the LADS organization, provide support to other Raytheon SBUs and RTX businesses in developing and achieving their Precision Fires and Maneuver objectivesCapture Management: Manage multiple captures simultaneously, ensuring all capture gates and plan deliverables are delivered on time, within scope, and budget. Coordinate with cross-functional teams located in various geographic locations. Stakeholder Influence: Utilize strong communication and interpersonal skills to influence and engage internal and external stakeholders. Facilitate collaboration and consensus across different teams and departmentsStrategic Development: Contribute to the strategic planning and development of programs that align with Precision Fires and Maneuver community of stakeholders on current and future needsProvide insights and recommendations based on extensive industry knowledge and customer requirementsCollaborate with RTX Global Government Relations (GGR) at the Federal, State/Local on Public Policy in their advocation and development of new technologies and our solutionsDevelop and lead a team of four professionals in support of the Precision Fires and Maneuver SSBUTravel 30% domesticQualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a University Degree in a related field such as Business Management/Development/Engineering and a minimum of 14 years working with the Department of Defense, or an Advanced Degree (MBA or MS of national security, international affairs, engineering) and a minimum of 12 years of experience 10+ years of experience working directly with the US Army, particularly with Maneuver and/or Fires organizations, operations, budgeting, and/or Army acquisition processesExperience with the US Military requirements development process and/or the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS)Qualifications We Prefer

The salary range for this role is 176,000 USD - 352,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
