Raytheon’s Advanced Products & Solutions business is seeking a Director, Requirements and Capabilities (R&C), Fire Control Radars to lead the portfolio focused on domestic and international fire control radar pursuits on behalf of the Radio Frequency Solutions (RFS) sub strategic business unit. The Director is responsible for developing strategy, leading associated new business captures and growing the fire control radar development, production and sustainment pipeline.  The Director will play a critical role in developing customer requirements and advancing strategic pursuits. The Director supports numerous radar/sensor solutions meeting requirements that address mission sets in multiple domains.  The Director must be able to fluently navigate senior level customer environments and drive outcomes that benefit both the product line and our valued customers.

As a member of the Radio Frequency Solutions R&C team, the Director will be responsible for driving early engagement with customers, translating mission requirements into actionable strategies, and influencing program development and investment decisions. This role demands a strong technical background, knowledge of the market space, and the ability to collaborate across functions to position RFS for long-term success in a rapidly evolving environment. The Director reports to the Director, R&C, Radio Frequency Solutions.

What You Will Do

Lead the Fire Control Radar R&C team to grow the business pipeline and support all elements of pursuit capture and lifecycle program managementBuild strong and enduring relationships with our customers and end users to understand their requirements and provide solutionsDevelop strategy to successfully advance pursuits to solve customer needs and grow the business pipelineLead and participate in cross functional teamsCollaborate across functional and RTX businesses to align priorities with customer expectationsAdvocate for the needs of the warfighter to program managementPresent and communicate effectively to all levels of our current and potential customers as well as Raytheon executivesPlan, coordinate, and conduct customer meetingsAuthor and edit responses or requests for information and product proposalsBe responsible for management of new business initiative fundsBe responsible for bookings growth in the long-range planBe responsible for coordination of consultants and potential teammatesCollaborate with RTX Global Government Relations (GGR) at the Federal, State/Local on Public Policy in their advocation and development of new technologies and our solutionsTravel 50% both domestically and internationallyPossible Work Locations: TX - McKinney or VA – Arlington

Qualifications You Must Have  

Typically requires a University Degree and 14+ years’ experience working with Department of Defense, or an Advanced Degree and 12+ years’ experience10+ years’ experience in military aircraft business development and capture experience or US DoD experience with fighter aircraft sensor operations, acquisition, planning/programming, requirements, or defense cooperationExperience leading cross functional teams in accomplishing project objectives within budget and schedule constraints

Qualifications We Prefer

Advanced Degree (MBA or STEM based preferred)5+ years as certified Capture Manager working domestic or international pursuitsStrategic thinker with experience developing strategy and ability to communicate complicated concepts to senior level leadershipExperience operating or understanding of advanced electronically scanned array technology and electromagnetic spectrum operationsExperience with 5th or 6th generation aircraft operations, requirements, acquisition, or programming

The salary range for this role is 176,000 USD - 352,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
