Director, Provider Efficiency & Network Analytics
**JOB SUMMARY** The Director of Provider Efficiency & Network Analytics will lead advanced analytics initiatives to measure and improve provider performance across clinical care efficiency, cost, and quality. This role combines deep healthcare domain expertise with advanced data science and mathematical modeling to create provider efficiency ratios, assess their impact on network design and medical costs, and deliver predictive insights that drive strategic decisions in value-based care. **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE** · **Provider Efficiency Measurement:** o Develop and implement clinical care efficiency ratios using advanced statistical and mathematical techniques (e.g., risk-adjusted cost models, multivariate regression, optimization algorithms). o Apply machine learning and predictive modeling to identify patterns in provider performance and forecast future trends. · **Network Optimization:** o Use clustering, network analysis, and optimization methods to design high-performing provider networks. o Integrate efficiency metrics into tiering strategies and contracting frameworks using quantitative models. · **Medical Cost Impact Analysis:** o Build econometric and simulation models to quantify the relationship between provider efficiency and medical cost trends. o Apply scenario modeling and sensitivity analysis to evaluate cost-saving opportunities under different network configurations. · **Advanced Data Science & Analytics:** o Leverage techniques such as natural language processing (NLP) for clinical documentation analysis and AI-driven anomaly detection for utilization patterns. o Implement scalable algorithms within cloud-based platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks) for large-scale data processing. · **Data Strategy & Governance:** o Ensure robust data pipelines and semantic layers to support reproducible analytics and self-service capabilities. o Champion Data-as-a-Product principles for efficiency metric delivery. · **Stakeholder Engagement:** o Present complex mathematical and data science concepts in clear, actionable terms for executives and clinical leaders. o Drive adoption of advanced analytics insights across operational and strategic teams. **KEY SUCCESS FACTORS** · Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or related field; Master’s or PhD preferred. · 8+ years of experience in healthcare analytics with demonstrated expertise in advanced statistical modeling, machine learning, and optimization techniques. · Strong proficiency in Python/R, SQL, and BI tools; experience with cloud data platforms and AI frameworks; Snowflake and Databricks preferred. · Deep understanding of value-based care models, medical economics, and provider performance measurement. · Exceptional leadership and communication skills to bridge technical insights with business strategy. **BENEFITS** Our competitive benefits package includes the following - Immediate eligibility for health and welfare benefits - 401(k) savings plan with dollar-for-dollar match up to 5% - Tuition Reimbursement - PTO accrual beginning Day 1 Note: Benefits may vary based upon position type and/or level **QUALIFICATIONS** - EDUCATION - Bachelor's or 4 years of work experience above the minimum qualification, Master's Degree highly preferred - EXPERIENCE - 5 Years of Experience As a health care system committed to improving the health of those we serve, we are asking our employees to model the same behaviours that we promote to our patients.
