The Opportunity
The Director, Platform and Demand Partnerships will lead a team responsible for some of Samsung Ads’ most critical platform and demand-side relationships. This role is central to shaping and executing our partnership strategy across Samsung’s core ad tech stack and demand ecosystem. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Business Development, the Director will oversee end-to-end deal lifecycles—from negotiation and contracting to execution and optimization—while identifying new, revenue-driving opportunities that expand our market presence.
This leader will be the external face of Samsung Ads to key partners and a trusted internal stakeholder, working cross-functionally with product, legal, finance, and executive leadership to drive impactful outcomes. They will balance strategic vision with operational rigor, ensuring the team delivers against both long-term goals and day-to-day execution.
The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of the AdTech landscape, particularly in how publishers engage with demand platforms and core programmatic technologies. They will be an exceptional communicator, a sharp analytical thinker, and a strong people manager capable of mentoring a high-performing team. Success in this role requires comfort with complexity, decisiveness in ambiguity, and a hands-on approach to leadership in a fast-paced environment.
Role and Responsibilities
Own and drive end-to-end partnership strategy across Samsung Ads’ core ad tech stack and demand-side ecosystem, including DSPs, SSPs, measurement partners, and other programmatic infrastructure.Lead all phases of the deal lifecycle—from sourcing and negotiating to execution and ongoing partner management.Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing team responsible for day-to-day partner execution and operations.Identify and evaluate new business opportunities that drive incremental revenue, market share, or technical innovation for Samsung Ads.Apply exceptional negotiation skills to structure high-impact, scalable deals that balance partner needs with Samsung’s strategic and commercial priorities.Serve as the primary external point of contact for key platform and demand partners, building strong, trust-based relationships at senior levels.Collaborate cross-functionally with product, legal, finance, marketing, engineering, and executive leadership to align partnerships with business priorities.Lead the preparation and execution of legal agreements, including MSAs, renewals, and commercial amendments, in partnership with internal legal counsel.Monitor and optimize performance of active partnerships, ensuring operational excellence, efficient workflows, and the delivery of agreed-upon KPIs.Represent Samsung Ads in strategic business reviews, industry forums, and executive partner meetings.Stay informed on evolving trends across programmatic advertising, ad tech, and data privacy to inform strategy and uncover growth opportunities.Skills and Qualifications
BA/BS required; Master’s degree preferred.10+ years of experience in AdTech, with a strong focus on partnerships, business development, and platform strategy.Proven success leading end-to-end deal processes, including structuring, redlining, and negotiating complex commercial agreements.Deep understanding of the CTV and mobile advertising ecosystems, including major players, technologies, and monetization models.Demonstrated track record of people leadership, including managing, mentoring, and scaling high-performing teams.Exceptional executive communication skills—able to synthesize complex topics for senior stakeholders and represent the business externally with credibility.Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills; able to evaluate new opportunities, develop hypotheses, and make data-informed decisions.Experience driving cross-functional initiatives across global organizations, working with product, legal, finance, engineering, and marketing teams.Highly organized, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.Self-starter with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and comfort navigating ambiguity.Hybrid role – 3 days in-office required.NYC ONLY
Salary Range Pay Transparency: Compensation for this role, for candidates based in New York, NY is expected to be between $220,000 and $245,000. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
