As part of Financial Management (FM) Transformation, the Expense Management Technology (eTech) team is seeking a data-driven leader with a strategic mindset and strong analytical capabilities to lead the development and implementation of frameworks that provide comprehensive visibility into the full lifecycle costs of technology investments. As Director, you’ll play a critical role in shaping the financial future of our technology and operations functions—while growing your career at one of the world’s leading financial services institutions.

Your Role
This role sits at the intersection of Finance, Technology, and Data Analytics, supporting the organization’s mission to deliver transparency, agility, and efficiency through the implementation of strategic IT financial management frameworks. Through extensive partnership with Business partners, you will be instrumental in transforming financial transparency, optimizing IT spending, and aligning technology investments with business value across Prudential.
What you can expect:
Data-Driven Financial Transparency: Build and refine models using structured and unstructured data to assess full lifecycle costs of technology assets and services and champion principles to improve value realization.
Data Integration & Automation: Identify and implement opportunities to streamline data collection, analysis, and reporting using modern data platforms and automation tools.
Advanced Forecasting & Modeling: Collaborate with leaders in Finance and Global Technology & Operations (GTO) to develop predictive models that integrate workforce, operational, and financial data.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with business stakeholders to map cost drivers, validate data sources, and align on expense allocation methodologies.
Executive-Level Reporting: Deliver clear, actionable insights through dashboards, visualizations, and presentations that support strategic decisions and risk mitigation.
Data Governance & Compliance: Ensure all financial processes and data handling practices adhere to regulatory requirements and industry standards.
What you’ll need:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
Extensive experience in data analytics, financial planning, or technology finance.
Proficiency in data analytics platforms (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python) and forecasting tools.
Deep understanding of IT financial management, cost allocation methodologies, and enterprise systems (e.g. ServiceNow).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data integrity and storytelling through data.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex data into strategic insights.
Proven expertise in workforce planning, financial modeling, and operational improvement using data.
Strategic thinking with a bias for action.
Innovative, detail-oriented, and committed to accuracy.
Collaborative leader who thrives in a cross-functional and fast-paced environment.
Ethical and customer focused.
It’d Be a Plus If You Had
Advanced credentials (MBA, CFA, CPA, Data Analytics, etc.).
Proven experience implementing TCO and/or TBM frameworks.
Familiarity with process improvement and expense management.
What we offer you:Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $152,500.00 to $206,200.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.Market competitive base salaries, with a yearly bonus potential at every level.
