This position supports the Vice President of Pharmacy Compliance and Government Affairs to ensure that the pharmacy business operates in compliance with all company, federal and state requirements. The incumbent is responsible for successful implementation of all pharmacy audit programs (including the Field Evaluation program), ensuring appropriate patient safety measures are in place and followed, ensuring successful operationalization of all changes in state, federal and company policies and implementation of company identified compliance initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:

Oversight of Pharmacy Field Evaluation program and all pharmacy audit programs and processes. Ensure company compliance with state and federal requirements including, but not limited to: DSCSA Hazardous waste management Compounding  Ensuring Central Fill, Central Processing and Specialty Pharmacy operate in compliance with state, federal and company requirements. Oversight of patient safety programs and processes Oversight of pharmacy-related investigations Help ensure company policies and procedures are accurate, current and meet the needs of the end users.  Responsible for the management and implementation of Risk Evaluation Mitigation Strategy (REMS) programs Hazardous Drug Handling Designated Person for USP Ch. 800 Program Member of the following committees: Pharmacy Compliance Committee and various company and external committees/work groups Serve as Pharmacy Compliance's primary liaison with all other pharmacy functional groups Partner with Director, Pharmacy Government Affairs and Manager Pharmacy Compliance to develop plans to address identified compliance threats to the business

This position is based in Boise, ID.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

Education Level: Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy or a Doctor of Pharmacy degree required Specialization: Active pharmacist license required. Experience Level: The most appropriate level of experience for this position is 6 to 8 years plus the education listed above Types of Work Situations: 3- 5 years working for a large pharmacy chain; pharmacy compliance experience strongly preferred Travel 15%

SKILLS AND BACKGROUND:

Proven knowledge and understanding of process engineering; Knowledge, skills, and experience in Pharmacy regulatory compliance; Ability to collaborate with key departments to achieve common compliance and administration objectives; Strong written/verbal communication skills; Strong interpersonal skills; Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and the ability to quickly learn and use other software packages; Strong understanding/experience of retail Pharmacy ;Strong analytical skills; Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
