Director, Performance Marketing

The Director of Performance Media is responsible for developing and executing a high-impact, data-driven media strategy across paid and organic channels to drive enrollment, awareness, and growth. This role leads agency partnerships, oversees digital performance across search, social, and SEO, and ensures media investments are optimized to meet performance objectives. The Director partners closely with content, CRM, analytics, and field teams to align campaigns with business goals and deliver measurable outcomes.

 

Essential Functions:

Develop and lead integrated paid and organic media strategies to drive enrollment and awareness. Manage digital agency partners across paid search, paid social, SEO, and local media execution. Optimize media mix and investment performance using data and ROI insights. Oversee reputation management programs and ensure accurate, optimized school directory listings. Support hyperlocal media placement and local school visibility initiatives. Align with CRM, Creative, and Field teams to ensure cohesive campaign execution. Guide SEO strategy in partnership with content and web development teams. Provide ongoing media performance reporting and insights to business stakeholders. Act as subject matter expert for internal teams and executive leadership on media performance. Mentor team members and evolve internal media capabilities as the function scales.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has direct supervisory responsibility for internal team members including:

Manager, Social & Content Strategy Reputation and Local Visibility Specialist This role will also manage external agency and vendor relationships. 

 

Minimum Job Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field required. Minimum 8–10 years of experience in performance media or digital marketing, with emphasis on paid search, social, and SEO.

Other Skills and Abilities Qualifications:

Excellent customer service and follow-up skills with both internal and external customers. Capable of working with frequent interruptions and changing priorities. Effective communication skills, written, verbal and interpersonal. Proficient time management, organizational skills and ability to meet established deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to synthesize complex information into clear insights. Expertise in Google Ads, Meta Business Suite, SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Moz), and analytics platforms. Ability to balance national and local marketing priorities, including multi-location support. Strong project management and vendor oversight skills. Effective communicator with ability to translate technical performance into actionable business insights. Highly organized and adaptable in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment. Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence without direct authority Proven ability to manage digital media agencies and driving results across complex media ecosystems. Strong analytical mindset with comfort interpreting media and business performance data.

Compensation and Benefits:

Compensation based on position, education and experience. Bi-weekly paid.  Base salary range: $155-175k This position is also eligible for our Support Central bonus program which is based on annual achievement of company performance.
