**About your role:**
As a **Director, People Shared Services & HRIS** , at Dollar Tree’s corporate office, you’ll for overseeing HR service delivery and HR information systems across the enterprise. This role leads the combined Shared Services support function (Tier 1 and Tier 2 HR support) and the HRIS team to ensure efficient, high-quality resolution of HR inquiries and effective management of HR systems. The Director drives process optimization and operational efficiencies in HR support, leverages deep Workday/HRIS expertise to enhance system functionality, and ensures shared services operations and HRIS initiatives align with broader People Technology and business goals. This position also plays a key role in cross-functional collaboration, partnering HR Centers of Expertise (COEs), IT, and other stakeholders to deliver seamless associate experiences and ensure data integrity.
**Responsibilities:**
**Strategic Leadership & Service Delivery Oversight**
+ Provide vision and direction for People Shared Services and HRIS functions.
+ Set service standards and performance metrics for the team.
+ Monitor HR support trends and volumes to allocate resources effectively.
+ Ensure Tier 1 and Tier 2 teams deliver prompt, accurate, and customer-focused HR assistance.
+ Balance day-to-day service delivery with long-term capability building.
**HRIS Management & System Optimization**
+ Oversee Workday HCM and related HR technologies.
+ Serve as the final escalation point for complex HRIS issues.
+ Lead configuration reviews, upgrades, testing, and deployment.
+ Leverage analytics to identify automation opportunities and improve efficiency.
+ Provide strategic input on the HRIS roadmap and governance.
**Process Improvement & Policy Compliance**
+ Drive continuous improvement in HR shared services processes.
+ Analyze SLA metrics and KPIs to identify trends and root causes.
+ Implement corrective actions and innovative solutions.
+ Ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
+ Update or establish standard operating procedures.
**Team Leadership & Development**
+ Lead, mentor, and develop Tier 1, Tier 2, and HRIS teams.
+ Supervise managers and leads, providing coaching and development.
+ Foster a culture of customer service, accountability, and continuous learning.
+ Set performance goals and monitor team effectiveness.
+ Champion training and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
**Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement**
+ Act as a liaison between Shared Services/HRIS and other departments.
+ Align priorities with enterprise-wide people technology initiatives.
+ Communicate support trends, system updates, and process changes.
+ Collaborate on cross-functional projects and enterprise outcomes.
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ 10+ years of proven experience leading HR Shared Services and HRIS functions in a large, complex organization.
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
+ Demonstrated success managing Tier 1 and Tier 2 HR support teams and resolving escalated HRIS issues.
+ Deep expertise in Workday HCM or similar enterprise HR systems, including configuration, testing, and deployment.
+ Experience implementing process improvements and service delivery enhancements using data-driven insights.
+ Strong understanding of HR operations, compliance, and policy frameworks.
+ Familiarity with service delivery metrics (e.g., SLAs, KPIs) and case management systems.
+ Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including HR COEs, IT, Payroll, and field HR.
+ Ability to lead change initiatives and support enterprise-wide people technology transformations.
+ Professional certifications such as Workday Pro, PHR/SPHR, or equivalent are preferred.
