To learn more about CIBC, please visit CIBC.com (https://www.cibc.com/en/about-cibc.html) **What you’ll be doing** The Optimization & Process Engineering team uses data, voice of client and analytics to identify and implement process improvements that increase profitability and enhance the client and employee experience with CIBC. We work on a wide variety of strategic and tactical projects. We reengineer client "moment of truth" processes to increase quality and value, as defined by our clients. Our team is the Centre of Excellence for Lean / Six Sigma methodology at CIBC, and we train new employees and business partners so they can earn their Yellow, Green or Black Belt certifications. Reporting to the Senior Director, Process Engineering, you will head assigned projects and ensure that new and changed processes/systems are effective, are installed in a way that accommodates the client, and are easy to learn and use. You will provide technical optimization and process engineering leadership, project leadership, and mentoring. You will train process engineers and associates in project management methodologies, and you will work with business unit leaders to develop and implement optimization projects. _At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 2-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote._ **How you’ll succeed** + **Leadership –** Identify and remove barriers that slow or prevent process and productivity improvement and administrative efficiency that leads to cost reduction and competitive advantage. Guide and support your team in problem solving efforts on key projects to improve client satisfaction, reduce cycle time and lower costs. + **Process Optimization & Change Management** - Support initiatives to enhance business operating leverage within Infrastructure and Modernization by identifying and implementing opportunities for increased efficiency and effectiveness. Monitor, analyze, and report on the impact of process improvements to ensure sustained value delivery and alignment with strategic goals. Lead change management efforts related to new processes, tools, and tracking systems to ensure smooth adoption and minimal disruption for teams. Regularly provide updates and recommendations to leadership regarding progress, challenges, and opportunities related to business operating leverage and process optimization. + **Results-** Accomplish process improvement efforts across the bank to meet annual productivity targets while fostering a continuous improvement cultural change. Act as a strategic resource by identifying, planning and implementing improvement strategies and projects with senior leadership and track projects to completion. Provide management with project status updates, feedback and reporting on key, process-focused metrics. + **Provide training** - Plan, support and provide training and coaching in process engineering and other improvement methodologies to executives, process owners, process engineers, associates and others. Teach process engineers and associates aspects of process engineering and other improvement methodologies + **Stakeholder Management –** Negotiate and influence business partners to ensure alignment and adoption of the ECI program as well as initiatives and individual deliverables of performance and process improvement initiatives. Acts as a business partner with key business leaders.
