The Director, Operations Excellence, Chief Innovation Office (CIO), Danaher Diagnostics, will be a key team member driving the establishment, adoption, and sustainment of execution and process excellence across the CIO enterprise. The CIO is composed of multiple disease franchises including oncology, infectious disease and acute care, and neurodegenerative disease, along with several enablement functions including Value and Access, Execution & Process Excellence, Portfolio and New Indications, Data, and Medical and Scientific Affairs.
This position reports to the VP, Execution & Process Excellence and will be a leader within the Execution & Process Excellence function working alongside the Director, PMO and across the CIO disease franchises and functions. This position does not have any direct reports at this time and will be fully remote.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
+ Drive efficiency and effectiveness within the CIO through implementation and sustainment of robust processes and systems across the Danaher Diagnostics ecosystem in collaboration with functional partners (e.g. legal, procurement, compliance, QRA HR, finance)
+ Drive operational excellence in the preparation, execution, and follow-up process for CIO-led leadership meetings, Scientific Advisory Boards, Group Innovation Reviews, Science & Technology Innovation Community Forums, and Cross-Operating Company Governance Forums (e.g. Clinical Science Council, Pharma Council, etc.) from high level planning down to the meeting minutes capture
+ Drive execution using Danaher Business System (DBS) tools such as VPM, VSM, Daily Management, Action Plans, Key Performance Indicator Metric Tracking, as well as fundamental tools like Smartsheet, Miro and Microsoft suite.
The essential requirements of the job include:
+ Bachelor’s degree in a scientific/engineering field with 14+ years’ experience in operations and/or program management, or Advanced degree (PhD, MD) in biomedical science or engineering field with 9+ years’ experience in the biotech/pharma/med device industry.
+ A “systems engineering mindset” with a proven track record of implementing and consistently sustaining and scaling organizational usage of various operational tools (e.g. SharePoint, Smartsheet, Power BI, Microsoft Teams, etc.) to drive efficiency and effectiveness
+ Extreme attention to detail and the ability to contextually synthesize information, toggling between strategic and tactical thinking, being agile, while diving deep when needed
+ Proven track record delivering programs in a fast-paced, complex matrixed corporate environment while juggling multiple competing priorities and stakeholders
+ Collaborative “servant leadership” style with clear communication and high emotional intelligence; quickly building trust and followership, showcased leadership in resolving conflicts
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience:
+ Leading organizational change initiatives related to operational excellence while using change management tool processes such as PROSCI (ADKAR)
+ Implementing, training, and creating followership for process improvement initiatives including the use of methodologies like Lean or Six Sigma
+ Using data & analytics tools to guide business decision making (e.g. resourcing, budget investments, productivity measurements, turnaround times, etc.)

The salary range for this role is $175-225k. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
