Job Description
This position may be based in either our Florham Park, NJ or Lake County, IL office.
The Director, Neuroscience PCS – Movement is responsible for commercial development and the global lifecycle strategy for multiple assets in the Movement portfolio including Vyalev (Produodopa), Tavapadon, and PD Triple Combo. Primary responsibilities include leading: (1) identification of unmet patient need in Parkinson’s and other movement disorders, (2) partnering with Clinical Development as well as on-market stakeholders to address that unmet need through the AbbVie movement pipeline including life-cycle management opportunities for on-market assets, (3) forecasting and valuation of commercialization opportunities, and (4) positioning/co-positioning pipeline and LCM assets within the AbbVie portfolio through EIVP and early brand plan development.
Reporting to the Neurodegeneration PCS lead, the Director will also lead the cross-functional Brand Strategy Team (BST) collaborating with Market Access, Medical Affairs, R&D, HEOR, Finance, and Market Research (among others) to drive both commercial planning and forecasting deliverables.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Lead early commercialization functions including early brand plan, integrated value proposition, forecasting and value metrics, lifecycle planning, and global market assessments for each asset in the Movement pipeline portfolioRepresent each asset in the AST, IEST, VAT, LRST, PPDST and lead the BST in development of early commercialization deliverables for each assetDesign and shape clinical and medical evidence generation plans in partnership with R&D and Medical AffairsParticipate in cross-functional governance meetings, including go to Phase 2/3 milestones as well as late-stage development governance such as CFGPartner with PCS Insights and APEX teams to develop and validate value propositions through HCP and patient engagement and researchLead discussions with key opinion leaders to garner insights in the development and commercialization of assets through one-on-one interactions as well as ad boards or roundtable discussionsDevelop compelling presentations to convey strategies to broad sets of stakeholder audiences, including senior executives, cross-functional leadership teams, and cross-functional partners for understanding and support of development plansWork with Global Affiliates by leading Touch Points to gain insights for key launch markets for each asset, incorporating these into the global commercialization recommendationParticipate in on-market asset IBTs where appropriate (US and OUS) to ensure seamless integration with the Marketing and Business Analytics functions to understand on-market dynamics and opportunities for development assetsWork alongside Search and Eval, BD and Commercial Assessment colleagues in the evaluation of complementary opportunity evaluations for the Movement portfolioEvaluate opportunities for complementary or expansive indications for lead assets or competitive compounds in development, including positioning and co-positioning evaluationsQualifications

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of thisposting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location,and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
