Purpose
The Director, ME&C Finance FPR&A will lead and coordinate the execution of all major planning and reporting cycles for the Internal Manufacturing and Engineering organization within Operations. This includes annual planning and standard setting, latest best estimates, long range plans, and monthly reporting. The IME network includes 4 major regions, comprised of 24 global manufacturing sites, and Global Engineering, which supports all Operations’ capital projects.
The position is expected to support strategic decision-making and drive the organization to achieve optimum financial performance. This position is part of AbbVie’s Operations Finance group and will lead a team of direct reports. This individual should possess strong analytical, communication, presentation, and leadership skills. This individual should also work well in a matrixed organization
Responsibilities
Coordinate the consolidation of all major planning and reporting deliverables, including monthly actuals, annual plan, latest best estimates (LBE), and long range plan (LRP) cycles, including capital, expense, and headcount.
Provide oversight and coordinate the annual standards setting process.
Provide oversight for the finance support of Global Engineering, including capital and project expense planning and reporting.
Provide leadership and guidance for process improvements and technology changes to key financial systems and act as IME Finance process subject matter expert for Finance Transformation programs.
Provide sound financial analysis and scenario planning for functional decision support.
Provide financial guidance related to Operating Budgets and Strategic Business Issues. Present financial data that is clear and concise thereby enhancing the management decision making process. Partner with Operations to develop budgets for Strategic Programs.
Ensure adequate financial and system controls are established and maintained consistent with AbbVie Corporate Financial Manual (CFM) policies and procedures as well as Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Ensure uniform and consistent recording and reporting of fiscal transactions. Maintain the integrity and control of general ledger accounts through review and analysis.
Reporting/Control - Ensure compliance with all Operations Finance deadlines and ensure protection and proper use of company assets.
Provide financial oversight of IME headquarter P&L and budgeting for all planning / reporting cycles.
Lead a team of 2 direct reports and 11 extended team members in the coordination of global activities across 24 sites in 10 different countries.
Qualifications
Qualifications
B.S./B.A. Accounting/Finance preferred.
10 plus years relevant finance experience. Cost accounting experience preferred.
5 plus years supervisory experience.
Comfortable presenting to large audiences and all levels of management.
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, BPC, and SAP.
Operations Finance experience preferred.
CPA/MBA preferred.

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
