What you’ll be doing
As the Director, Market Data Services on the Capital Markets Technology team, you will be responsible for enterprise market data functions, including strategy, governance, vendor management, cost control, and regulatory compliance. This role provides leadership across the organization to ensure market data is delivered efficiently, cost-effectively, and in compliance with contractual and regulatory obligations. You will own the end to end market data lifecycle, including onboarding, entitlement, usage tracking and termination.

How you’ll succeed
People Leadership - You are a demonstrated people leader and have successfully managed small to medium sized teams. Lead, mentor, and develop a global market data team.Communication – Leverage multiple communication styles to keep all stakeholders informed of progress and outcomes.Negotiation strategy – Demonstrate leadership in negotiation strategy alignment and contract negotiations, as well as securing authorizations for agreement execution. You will be responsible for leading large Sourcing projects by creating the procurement plan, helping the business to define their needs, negotiating complex deals, and making sure that the business area is ready to manage the service delivery from the supplier.Administration and Governance - Ensure that business stakeholders and your partners in Procurement are equipped with accurate and timely information to make informed decisions. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the proper governance standards are followed and included in all contracts being signed; identifying key success factors and suggesting ways to improve the performance of your department; building and managing LOB relationships to enable the effective management and completion of Sourcing negotiations in your department.Who you are
You can demonstrate experience with at least 8 years of people leadership and market data management within a financial institution. Familiarity with market data inventory, entitlement, and usage monitoring tools (e.g. MDM systems, inventory platforms. Strong knowledge of market data vendors, exchanges, and licensing models. Proven experience managing enterprise-level vendor relationships and contracts.This includes developing negotiation tactics and deal management; Operating in a Professional Manner even in tense situations; Influencing without authority; Managing multiple deliverables under tight timelines. You are able to capture business requirements from various internal stakeholders and translate them into clear and concise supplier requirements. You demonstrate a strong understanding of the wealth and capital markets businesses, specifically as it pertains to market data; suppliers, data types, cross enterprise business consumers. You have completed a university degree in Business or Science.
