This role will help cultivate a culture of continuous learning and development to drive maximum business impact and increase competitiveness. The primary responsibility is to lead the launch learning journey for a new commercial organization. The ideal candidate for this role will have a demonstrated track record of launch success, while building a high-performance culture. The Director of Learning Excellence will lead new transformational innovation projects aimed at building the most competitive field force in Dermatology. In addition, this individual will support the Senior Director of Learning Excellence by developing best-in-class capabilities focused on market leadership. The Director will coach and develop their team members on adult learning principles, facilitation skills, and innovative learning solutions, while fostering an environment that promotes both short-term achievements and long-term career growth. Maintaining expert knowledge in technical areas, including clinical, access & fulfillment and product knowledge, sales expertise, and the healthcare environment is essential to this role. **Key Responsibilities / Areas of Focus:** **Team Leadership:** + Recruits, hires, and develops a team with varied strengths with the ability to deliver results and assume increased levels of responsibility within the organization. + Develops others in the areas of adult learning principles, learning technology, clinical expertise, and marketplace knowledge. + Operates efficiently in a matrix environment. + Helps team adapt to shifting priorities, cross-functional objectives, and unpredictable environment. + Coaches’ others on identifying and understanding the most critical business needs to design and deliver comprehensive learning solutions. + Ensures team outputs are fully aligned with overall company strategy to drive results. + Oversees progress, budget, resources, and workload to maximize outputs and effectively address training needs and opportunities. + Guides others with achieving short- and long-term project goals and acquiring resources. + Ensures team consistently works within compliance and regulatory guidelines. Demonstrates Credo Values during all interactions. **Collaborative Partnering:** + Strategizes with field sales and marketing leadership to understand their priorities and determine training needs that lead to the development of efficient and effective solutions that maximize field impact. + Leads collaborative efforts with key stakeholders to ensure external commercial teams are aligned with product messaging and training standards. + Develops and maintains a cross-functional network of business partners, including field reimbursement managers, sales management, and Marketing to augment team effectiveness. + Communicates and collaborates regularly with internal partners to share information, such as emerging technology, advancements in development practices, and relevant business trends. + Partners across franchise to enable organizational alignment for parallel deliverables and sharing of resources wherever possible. + Facilitates and encourages collaboration between team members to further their effectiveness, enhance organizational efficiency, and maximize goal attainment. **Learning Solutions & Platforms:** + Leads the development of a launch learning journey to support an innovative and novel new product + Oversees the development and execution of learning solutions to address business needs appropriately and consistently. + Guides others to develop learning solutions that incorporate adult learning principles, integrate clinical and selling expertise, and effectively use technology. + Seeks out innovative learning technology and platforms to identify opportunities for enhancements and facilitates the adoption of new technology. + Coaches others on incorporating clinical knowledge, product information, and selling skills expertise into learning solutions to align with learning needs. + Monitors the healthcare ecosystem and access changes to ensure that learning solutions reflect up-to-date conditions and provides input into learning and development program enhancements. **Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree required, a Master’s degree is a plus. + 7+ years industry experience is preferred. + A minimum of 3 years of people management is preferred. + 2+ years of sales training experience preferred. + Demonstrated success as a DM or RBD strongly preferred. + Experience in relevant therapeutic area and various business channels preferred. + Prior experience launching new product(s) in specialty markets preferred. + Experience in Managed Markets, Marketing, Sr. Field Sales leadership, or Operations preferred. + Proven ability to build multi-level or multi-functional teams in a matrix environment preferred. + Knowledge of Learning and Development capabilities (e.g., processes, adult learning principles) preferred. Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)). This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.
