The Director, Learning & Development – North America for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is part of the newly formed Commercial Excellence organization and will lead the transformation and expansion of the Learning & Development (L&D) function across both Sales and Service within the North America Commercial (NACO) business. This role is responsible for defining the vision, structure, and roadmap of a high-performing commercial learning organization, ensuring alignment to field performance, business outcomes, and long-term talent development.

You will be a part of the Commercial Excellence team and report to the Vice President, Commercial Excellence & Sales Enablement. In this role, you will be responsible for:

Designing the vision, structure, and operating model of a unified L&D function that supports both Sales and ServiceBuilding and leading a team responsible for developing and executing role-based training, field coaching, and enablement programsEstablishing a long-term L&D strategy that aligns to commercial objectives, talent development priorities, and business performanceImplementing performance metrics and feedback loops to evaluate L&D program effectiveness and guide continuous improvementDriving cross-functional alignment and partnership across Sales, Service, Marketing, and Commercial Operations to ensure strategic integration of learning initiativesManaging team development, performance, and accountability while fostering a culture of professionalism and ownershipOverseeing budget, vendor relationships, and resourcing strategy to support scalable and impactful learning delivery

The essential requirements of the job include:

Bachelor’s degree with 14+ years of experience OR Master’s degree with 12+ years of experience, including 4+ years leading peopleMinimum 5 years in commercial training, sales enablement, or sales operations, with a strong preference for diagnostics or healthcare industry experienceDemonstrated success developing and leading strategic L&D programs that drive measurable business outcomesStrong stakeholder engagement and communication skills with the ability to align cross-functional teamsAdvanced skills in training evaluation, instructional design, and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or ExcelExperience in coaching and developing high-performing teams through change and complexity

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

Sales experience in the diagnostics industry or strong understanding of sales processDemonstrated ability to collaborate with partners and lead peers or direct reportsDemonstrated ability to structure and conduct analyses to generate insight and recommendationsExcellent problem-solving skills, details oriented with focus on quality and accuracyProven track record of working effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, multi-tasking environmentExperience managing projects and vendors

It would be a plus if you also possess:

Experience supporting or working in direct commercial salesFamiliarity with Seismic, LMS platforms, and Kirkpatrick evaluation models

The base salary range for this role is $175,000- $210,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
