Reports to the Chief Operating Officer. Responsible for the overall management, administration, and service provided in the Pathology and General Laboratory Departments. Drives alignment and engagement with pathologists and laboratory staff. Elevates patient and internal customer satisfaction. Partners with other department leaders to improve processes and implement standard work to ensure safe and high quality laboratory services in pursuit of zero harm. Exercises financial accountability as a good steward of system resources to ensure sustainability. Embodies and encourages the culture and values which comprise The Scotland Way.
