Job Description: Job Title: Director, IT Solutions Management Department: Information Technology Pay Type: Salary Revision Date: 12/2025 General Function: As the Director, IT Solutions Management, you will lead a team of technology professionals responsible for defining, planning, and deploying business process solutions across HR and Finance domains. Solutions will involve people, processes, and a blend of technology, both commercial and in-house developed products. Your primary focus is to attract, retain, and develop experienced technical team members that enable the business to make informed decisions, improve operational efficiency, and deliver measurable value through scalable, reliable systems. You will ensure alignment between enterprise strategy and technology execution, while fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Reporting Relationships: Accountable and Reports to: AVP, IT Retail Development Direct Reports: None Primary Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership & Vision Contributes to forming and communicating the vision and operating model for IT Solutions Management that anticipates business needs and delivers secure, scalable, and reliable solutions. Align technology initiatives with organizational priorities and market opportunities, ensuring solutions are proactive. Champion a future state where employees are informed, connected, and empowered through intentional feedback loops. Solutioning & InnovationLeads the strategic process of solutioning by connecting the dots, navigating ambiguity, and guiding teams toward clarity and execution. Apply creative and analytical thinking to evaluate trade-offs, define optimal solutions, and unlock new capabilities that drive measurable business value. Promote a culture where solutioning is recognized as a skill and talent, not just a task. Team Leadership & DevelopmentMentors and inspires product managers and analysts, foster collaboration, accountability, and innovation. Align team assignments to business priorities and individual growth goals. Encourage disciplined planning while embracing adaptability, ensuring the team remains leaders in every room they enter. Stakeholder Engagement & GovernanceServes as a trusted partner to business leaders and external vendors, facilitating cross-functional collaboration and executive-level reporting. Establish governance frameworks for change control, requirements management, and agile ceremonies to maintain process integrity and stakeholder confidence. Solution Design & Domain OversightDrives delivery of scalable solutions through effective roadmap ownership and lifecycle management. Oversee ERP modernization initiatives, including SAP S/4HANA implementation, integration strategies, and risk mitigation. Continue to expand capabilities, employee opportunities, and operational efficiencies within the Workday platform, that supports Hy-Vee's entire workforce. Ensure business processes are efficient, digitized, and aligned with enterprise objectives. Education and Experience: + B.A. in Information Technology or related field preferred + 7-10 years of leadership experience in Information Technology + Business acumen in the retail business sector, grocery preferred + Demonstrated experience with: + Current development methodologies and design patterns + Delivering applications in a cloud platform + Implementing ERP solutions + Experience influencing management on technical or business solutions + Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Physical Requirements: + Visual requirements include the ability to see detail at near range with or without correction. + Must be able to perform sedentary work, including operating a computer, and occasionally lifting or carrying objects up to 10 pounds. + May occasionally perform physical activities such as standing, walking, kneeling, reaching, handling, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
