About the Role

IQVIA is seeking a visionary Director of AI & Automation to lead the design, development, and deployment of intelligent automation solutions across the enterprise. This role will be pivotal in driving digital transformation, enhancing operational efficiency, and unlocking new value streams through advanced AI technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership Define and execute AI and Technology Solution’s AI and automation strategy aligned with business goals.Identify opportunities to leverage AI/ML, generative AI, and intelligent automation across functions.Partner with senior leadership to prioritize initiatives that deliver measurable impact.Innovation & Delivery Lead cross-functional teams to design, build, and scale AI-driven solutions.Oversee automation programs (RPA, intelligent workflows, cognitive services).Ensure solutions are ethical, compliant, and aligned with industry regulations.Collaboration & Influence Work closely with technology, data science, and business units to embed AI into core processes.Evangelize AI adoption across the organization through thought leadership and stakeholder engagement.Build strong external partnerships with vendors, startups, and academia to stay ahead of emerging trends.Governance & Risk ManagementEstablish frameworks for responsible AI, ensuring transparency, fairness, and accountability.Monitor performance, ROI, and scalability of AI initiatives.Drive continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across teams.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Master’s Degree in computer application or equivalent

Technical Skills:

12+ years of experience in technology leadership, with at least 5 years focused on AI/ML automation.Proven track record of delivering enterprise-scale AI/automation programs.Deep understanding of AI/ML, natural language processing, generative AI, and RPA technologies.Strong business acumen with the ability to translate technical capabilities into business outcomes.Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and change leadership skills.Experience in life sciences, healthcare, or regulated industries preferred.Proficiency in opportunity assessment and suggesting best possible automation solutionsStrong programming skills (Python, C# or Java)Solid understanding of computer programming and software developmentAbility to troubleshoot and perform complex system testsStrong leadership and problem-solving skillsGood collaboration skills and attention to detailCreative thinking skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong analytical skillsAbility to communicate well with other members of the development teamExcellent Stakeholder management skillsAbility to keep up with the latest technologiesA desire to continually upgrade technical knowledge

Experience in Lean/KaizenExperience in RPA - Automation AnywhereExpertise in various cloud data loader tools such as Informatica on Demand and data migration principlesExperience in Salesforce is a plusExperience with project management and estimation techniquesPharma domain experience.
