Director, Integrated Insights and Strategy (IIS) Lifecycle, Vaccines

Pfizer is seeking a Director of Integrated Insights & Strategy (IIS) that will lead forecasting for Prevnar Adult, Prevnar Pediatrics, Comirnaty Adult and Comirnaty Pediatrics products. Reporting to the IIS Therapeutic Area Team Lead, this person will serve as the senior member of a brand-aligned team of strategists responsible for harnessing insights from multiple sources to develop, pressure test and socialize the mid-term and long-range forecast while gaining alignment across the commercial teams.

 As a member of the IIS team in the larger Global Commercial Analytics (GCA) organization at Pfizer, you will work with a team that is an important source of intellectual insight on commercial brand strategy, framing business problems in a way that the business can then execute to drive impact and unlock value. Specifically, IIS is responsible for identifying and developing opportunities in performance to unlock brand value and to advise the business on drivers of transformational change.  IIS harnesses insights from multiple sources across GCA, leading day-to-day problem solving, team management, and business partner management.  IIS leverages their deep functional knowledge, exceptional intellectual curiosity, and proprietary GCA tools to every business interaction, while managing and developing strategic relationships and ensuring the highest quality work, and inspiring, leading and developing new IIS colleagues.

 

The ideal candidate is someone with a proven track record of high-value brand consultancy, responsible for framing, designing & executing forecasting solutions for challenging business situations.  They will have an in-depth knowledge of multiple analytic disciplines, with a keen understanding of output and quality/timely insight derivation. Their team orientation and collaborative approach, along with their outstanding listening skills and ability to manage through influence, will enable their exceptional intellectual and analytical curiosity to shine.  Their sophisticated executive demeanor and comfort functioning with senior brand VPs along with their excellent presentation skills, including strong verbal and writing capabilities, will drive their success.  As will their ability to work proactively (and independently when necessary) along with collaboratively in a team environment to influence and drive change at all levels in an organization.

 

Forecasting / Operating Plan Support:

In partnership with key Pfizer stakeholders, act as the lead for the development of Long-Range Forecasts (LRFs) and Operating Plans

Coordinate forecasting activities with US and Global Commercial teams

Act as strategic partner to frame and translate complex patient flows into simplified model approaches used by IIS and commercial market colleagues

Drive the creation of best-in-class epi and trend-based forecast models in partnership with Forecasting Center of Excellence (CoE) colleagues

Develop AI-powered forecasting for brands to improve model robustness, support efficient scenario analysis, and analogue searches.

Identify and analyze relevant analogs to inform forecasting

Leverage insights from all relevant sources to generate and defend forecast assumptions

Actively manage and oversee external vendors supporting forecast model/tool development

Review and enhance forecasts or strategic brand plans with strong expertise in qualifying and quantifying business opportunities, including communicating results and recommendations to senior leadership

Ensure accurate and effective performance measurement and deliver regular assessments of portfolio performance to leadership, including clear articulation of the data and its meaning for the business

Lead all aspects of forecasting for Prevnar Adult and Comirnaty vaccines, ensuring robust, data-driven projections that inform strategic planning and commercial decisions. Provide oversight and guidance for the forecasting process of Prevnar Pediatric vaccine, aligning methodologies with best practices and collaborating closely with Lifecycle Sr.Manager in the team

Basic Qualifications

 

BA/BS in Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field required; MS or MBA preferred

8+ years in consulting, finance or market analytics

5+ years at a high-value level (e.g., US & Global) developing data-driven brand strategy for major assets (>$1B)

Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint

Highly proficient in leveraging primary market research and secondary pharmaceutical data sets (e.g., sales data, claims data, EHR, payer) to generate actionable insights that address strategic business questions

Familiarity with use of AI in forecasting applications

Defined involvement in helping frame, design and run forecasting scenarios for challenging business situations

Proven track record of being an indispensable thought partner to senior brand leaders and influencing without authority

Team-orientation and collaborative approach; outstanding listening skills and the ability to manage through influence

Exceptional intellectual and analytical curiosity, a creative visionary who can drive innovation

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years of vaccines experience

Understanding of IQVIA (DDD, LAAD) and other secondary data sources

Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Python, R, SQL, and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) preferred

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $162,900.00 to $271,500.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
