Nordson is seeking a highly skilled SAP Director to lead our ERP Transformation program. At Nordson, the SAP Director will oversee all modules and aspects of our SAP Transformation journey, transitioning the organization from SAP ECC to S4/HANA. The role will lead design, process simplification & standardization, resource allocation, and continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborating closely with Nordson's business and IT leaders, this role will shape the strategic direction of our enterprise ERP environment and lead towards modernization and achieving specific business objectives.

As the leader of the SAP team, you would champion the successful delivery of the SAP ERP transformation to achieve Nordson’s Technology strategic goals. This role will be required to influence and partner with senior and executive business leaders across the organization to understand, design and implement SAP solutions that achieves business needs and objectives. You will also be directly instrumental in cultivating a culture of excellence across the SAP team, leveraging industry best practices and toolkits to achieve outstanding results.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

ERP Transformation Portfolio Management:

Oversee the end-to-end execution of the SAP S/4HANA transformation program and initiatives, balancing strategic & technical oversight with hands-on problem solving. Serve as the primary point of accountability for program outcomes, collaborating with business and IT stakeholders to align program deliverables with organizational objectives.Direct all aspects of program planning, resource allocation, risk management, and systems integration. Complete prioritization of new enhancement and comprehensive feasibility analysis of requests.Accountable for establishing scalable system design, code quality oversight, and integration efforts and adherence to best practices. Champion business process transformation across the various SAP functions.Oversee the design and integration of SAP S/4HANA, BTP, and other SAP and non-SAP applications, ensuring scalability, robustness, and reusability. Establish and provide technical oversight across SAP landscape.Assess and implement continuous improvement strategies to optimize SAP solution, streamline delivery processes, and drive long-term business value through SAP and other ERP and non-ERP technology enablement.

Leadership and Strategy:

Partner with Enterprise Architects to design and development ERP architecture (integrated process, applications, data, and technology) ensuring solutions address business problems and aligns with Enterprise architecture direction and standards.Develop and execute a comprehensive ERP strategy and process innovation that supports business goals. Establish best practices and execution strategy.Acquire understanding of business capabilities and functions to identify opportunities for process improvement and digital innovation, ensuring alignment with business goals and technology strategies.Provide recommendation to leadership on execution approach to achieve organization strategy, enables effective portfolio execution, and organization KPIs.

Talent Management:

Lead, develop, and mentor a diverse, high-performing, and globally distributed team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, excellence, and trust.Enhance resource capacity and utilization to ensure optimal resource productivity through management of Manage 3rd party vendors, system integrators and cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless collaboration between in-house and external resources.Establish clear goals and objectives for the team and provide guidance towards their professional development.Foster an inclusive environment where experimentation, learning, and adaptation are encouraged.

Stakeholder Engagement and Performance Measurement:

Establish clear communication channels and strong partnership with internal technical leaders, service providers, and business stakeholders across the organization.Conduct regular end-user satisfaction assessments and implement action plans to drive improvement.Participate in strategic and business planning discussions with functional leaders to align on upcoming needs and transformation initiatives.Collaborate closely with various internal departments to successfully implement and measure change and performance impacts.

Education and Experience Requirements

 REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree preferred.Proven leadership in leading large-scale SAP or ERP transformation programs and driving drive process standardization, innovation, and continuous improvement initiatives.10+ years of hands-on SAP functional experience supporting Finance, Sales, Customer Service, Order Management, Procurement, or Fulfillment business functions.8+ years in SAP or ERP leadership role team and in-depth knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and SAP ECC configuration and functional modules.5+ years of solution design, enterprise architecture, and/or SAP Implementation2+ years of technical project management for SAP Implementation or operationSAP ECC and/or S4 HANA certification is required.Demonstrated leadership and strategic thinking abilities, with the ability to drive organizational change and alignment.

PREFERRED COMPETENCIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Expertise in project management methodologies or Lean Six Sigma is preferred.OS/DB Migration, TOGAF certification is a plusGeneral knowledge or experience in BTP, security, and exposure to other ERP technology environment is preferredGlobal manufacturing industry experience preferred.
