Essential Duties/Responsibilities:  

Leads the Sales team for successful execution of revenue, strategic initiative and pricing objectives.Contributes to the annual Strategic Planning process, including budget development, the 1-year, 5-year and 10-year plan, consistent with corporate goals and company policies.Conducts periodic status reviews of strategic goals and objectives to identify roadblocks to progress. Directs analytics function to define data-driven methodologies to analyze business performance metrics and process improvements options. Recalibrates as needed.In partnership with marketing, learns, analyzes and visualizes information about industry and market trends, expansion opportunities, competitive threats and possible business opportunities.  Guides discussions and contributes insight derived from knowledge and analysis of the industry, roadmap and competitors, value of company and products, in order to recommend entering new markets, developing products or stopping production of existing products.Identifies and quantifies the likely contribution of major business/industry segments based on market growth and competitive positionLeads the creation of 5 year plans for underserved and new markets by collaborating with product line GMs, ATG and Engineering directors.Provides mentorship to harness the softer skills required of the team to facilitate a standardized strategic selling approach to the industry, create deep and loyal partnerships within accounts, and drive their teams to successfully achieve market and product share gainSupports strategic account management process including selection, planning and review for all assigned strategic accounts and sitesPartners with Business Unit General Managers & other key functional directors to coordinate plans to implement the business strategy; works with colleagues to identify what each department needs to do to make the collective go-to-market strategy work.Translate all industry trends, needs and requirements into the organization’s product line development and operations teamsResponsible for the industry demand plans including respective Industry Accounts into Integrated Business Planning Processes. Creates forecasts to translate all market trends into an integrated demand plan.Ensures industry expertise and external brand recognition of the industry segments.Ensures active deal (price) management is occurring following list pricing methodologies from the Product Lines.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Education/Certifications: 

Bachelor’s Degree with preference for technical or Engineering background; Master’s degree preferred

Skills and Experience: 

10+ years of progressive commercial, strategic marketing and product management experience.  Global experience preferred.Preference for proven consultative or solution based commercial experience, preferably within relevant industryDemonstrated leadership capabilities, including people development/coaching, objective setting and performance management skills in commercial/salesTechnical Knowledge - Must have the capability to understand the technical applications of products in the markets servedAbility to manage effectively in a multicultural, international environment and mobilize high performance teamsAbility to develop a strategic plan and execute with a results driven focused approachDemonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including the delegation of tasks and holding others accountableProven ability to translate market trends into sales forecastProven ability to translate market trends into industry expansion plansExcellent listening, negotiation and presentation skillsAbility to travel 50-70% of time (domestic and international), including valid driver’s license
