This position will work closely with our HR leaders, HR centers of excellence and the business to ensure alignment with our mission, vision, values and cultural pillars. This position ensures the delivery of consistent, scalable, and employee centric services while fostering a positive employee experience and maintaining compliance with employment law and internal policies. **Responsibilities:** **Employee Relations** + Lead the Employee Relations function, ensuring fair, consistent, and compliant handling of workplace issues. + Refine and own Employee Relations operations including reporting, process (including templates), strategy and technology. + Provide expert guidance to HRBPs and business leaders on complex employee relations matters, including investigations, performance management, and conflict resolution. + Partner with Legal, Compliance and other HR team members when necessary to support resolution of employee issues. + Participate in and lead high-level investigations into employee concerns and complaints relating to various employment policies and recommend appropriate actions. + Advise HR Operations team members on low to mid-level investigations. + Counsel and guide managers and employees in all areas of employee relations including policy interpretation, employee complaints, corrective action procedures, performance management and other potential violations. + Monitor trends and proactively recommend policy or procedural changes to mitigate risk and improve workplace culture. **Human Resources Operations** + Oversee the HR Operations team responsible for employee lifecycle processes (onboarding, offboarding, data management, HRIS administration, etc.). + Ensure timely and accurate delivery of HR services and transactions, with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence. + Partner with HRIS team to optimize systems and tools that support HR service delivery. + Build and maintain effective working relationships with the business and the HR team to support a positive, engaging and rewarding company culture. + Manage the implementation and administration of human resources practices and procedures regarding onboarding, pre-employment screenings, I-9 administration, new hire orientations and all offboarding activities. + Work with HR Ops and HR Business Partners to support managers on Performance Improvement Plans, ensuring the process is consistently applied throughout the organization. + Analyze HR and metrics for themes and trends and identify areas for improvements and trainings. + Provide improvement and enhancement recommendations to streamline HR Operations and ER processes. + Prepare ad hoc and regular Workday reports on HR operational subjects including new hires, terminations, onboarding and exiting information. + Manage and execute any ad hoc company projects related to HR Operations. **Compliance & Risk Management** + Ensure HR policies, procedures, and practices are compliant with federal, state, and local employment laws. + Lead internal HR audits and partner with Legal and Compliance on sensitive matters and investigations. + Maintain and update the employee handbook and other policy documentation. **Qualifications/competencies:** + Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and credibility across all levels of the organization. + Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making. + Demonstrated success in building scalable HR processes in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. + Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills + Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service focus + Sound judgement and decision making + Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks that span multiple projects and multiple stakeholders + Ability to deal with ambiguity and uncertainty **Education/Experience Required:** + Bachelor’s degree required and preferred in Human Resources (or similar discipline) + 10 + years in Human Resources, with some leadership experience + 5+ years handling and resolving complex employee relations issues including employee conflicts, manager conflicts, policy violations, and other employee relations matters + Experience in the pharmaceutical industry or related industry preferred + Deep knowledge of employment law, HR compliance, and best practices in shared services delivery. + Proven ability to lead through influence, manage change, and drive process improvement. + Experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, SAP, Oracle) and service delivery models. The base salary range for this role is $184,160 to $230,200. Base salary is part of our total rewards package which also includes the opportunity for merit-based salary increases, short incentive plan participation, eligibility for our 401(k) plan, medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurances and leaves provided in line with your work state. Our robust time-off policy includes flexible paid time off, 11 paid holidays plus additional time off for a shut-down period during the last week of December, 80 hours of paid sick time upon hire and each year thereafter. Total compensation, including base salary to be offered, will depend on elements unique to each candidate, including candidate experience, skills, education and other factors permitted by law.
