**Role Overview**
As Director, Global Business Development – Brand Outsourcing and HCP Engagement, Commercial Solutions (CS), you will play a pivotal role in driving growth across international markets. This position is responsible for developing and executing global and regional business development strategies, expanding existing client relationships, and opening new markets for IQVIA’s commercial outsourcing, deployment, and engagement solutions.
The role operates across multiple geographies, working with senior stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and regional leadership to deliver scalable, innovative solutions to pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical technology organisations.
Location: Flexible within Europe (with significant international collaboration and travel)
Scope: Global / multi-region

**Key Responsibilities**
**Global Business Development & Strategy**
+ Identify and prioritize global and regional market opportunities aligned with IQVIA CS capabilities and strategic objectives.
+ Develop and execute business development strategies across multiple geographies and customer segments.
+ Translate global CS strategy into actionable account-level engagement and growth plans.
**Client & Market Engagement**
+ Build, maintain, and grow senior-level relationships across IQVIA’s existing global client base and new, non-traditional customers, with a strong focus on Pharma, Biotech, and MedTech.
+ Act as a trusted strategic advisor to clients, providing best-practice guidance throughout the commercial lifecycle.
+ Represent IQVIA CS in executive-level client discussions, proposal defenses, and contract negotiations.
**Solution Design & Deal Leadership**
+ Lead the development of complex, multi-country, multi-service proposals that integrate CES offerings across IQVIA service lines.
+ Orchestrate virtual, cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, competitive, and scalable client solutions.
+ Own the end-to-end deal lifecycle from opportunity qualification through contracting and handover to delivery.
**Pipeline & Performance Management**
+ Maintain a robust global pipeline of opportunities aligned to revenue and growth targets.
+ Monitor pipeline progression, contract performance, and actuals versus forecast on an ongoing basis.
+ Provide strategic insight and reporting to support annual business plans and long-term growth objectives.
**Collaboration & Leadership**
+ Work closely with regional leaders, solution SMEs, operations teams, and senior management across IQVIA.
+ Lead without direct line management responsibility, influencing across geographies and functions.
+ Actively contributes to shaping the future of IQVIA CS through thought leadership and innovation.
**Skills & Experience**
+ 10+ years’ experience in business development, sales, or commercial leadership within Life Sciences, Pharma, Biotech, or MedTech OR senior medical or commercial leadership within a life sciences organization.
+ Proven success selling complex, multi-market outsourcing or commercial solutions.
+ Strong ability to translate global strategies into pragmatic execution across regions and accounts.
+ Demonstrated experience leading complex negotiations and closing high-value, strategic deals.
+ Outstanding communication skills with the ability to articulate complex value propositions to senior global stakeholders.
+ Track record of building long-term, trusted C-suite relationships.
+ Comfortably operating in ambiguity while providing clarity, direction, and vision.
+ Strong commercial acumen, creative problem-solving capability, and a results-oriented mindset.
