This leader will partner closely with Marketing leadership to align financial oversight & governance with evolving Marketing centric strategies, programs and accountabilities. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in consumer/retail environments, understands performance marketing economics, and can translate complex data into actionable insights that influence executive decision-making. This leader will balance strategic planning with hands-on financial management, ensuring marketing investments fuel profitable growth, customer lifetime value, and long-term brand equity **Key Responsibilities** **Strategic Finance Partnership** + Serves as the primary finance partner to Marketing, Loyalty, Martech, and Retail Media leadership, advising on investment decisions and growth priorities + Influences marketing strategy by translating financial insights into actionable recommendations that balance growth, profitability, and customer lifetime value + Partner with Marketing leaders on long-range planning, annual budgets, and forecasts to ensure alignment between financial targets and marketing objectives + Evaluate and prioritize marketing, loyalty, retail media, and marketing technology investments to maximize ROI + Provide disciplined financial governance, performance measurement, and executive-level insights to support accountable decision-making **Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning** + Accountabilities related to the end-to-end marketing budget, including annual planning, in-year reforecasts, and long-range financial plans + Partner with Marketing, Loyalty, Retail Media, and Martech leaders to align spend plans with strategic priorities and growth objectives + Develop accurate, driver-based forecasts for marketing spend, revenue impact, and strategic investment ROI across channels and programs + Monitor performance versus plan, delivering timely variance analysis and clear insights to guide course correction + Establish strong financial controls, governance, and reporting to ensure disciplined spend management and accountability **Performance & ROI Analysis** + Develop and own opportunity-based ROI frameworks to measure the financial impact of marketing, loyalty, retail media, and marketing technology investments + Partner with Marketing and Analytics teams to define KPIs, attribution approaches, and success metrics tied to business outcomes + Analyze performance across channels and programs to identify opportunities to optimize spend, improve efficiency, and accelerate growth + Translate complex performance data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for senior leadership + Maintain consistent reporting and dashboards that drive transparency, accountability, and data-driven decision-making **Operational Excellence & Governance** + Establish and maintain strong financial governance, controls, and operating functionalities across Marketing, Loyalty, Retail Media, and Marketing Technology + Standardize processes for spend management, approvals, forecasting, and performance reviews to drive consistency and efficiency + Ensure compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and external reporting requirements related to marketing investments + Partner cross-functionally to improve data quality, financial transparency, and end-to-end visibility into marketing performance + Drive continuous improvement through process optimization, automation, and best-practice adoption **Leadership & Collaboration** + Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing marketing finance team, fostering strong business partnership and analytical excellence + Serve as a trusted advisor to Marketing, Loyalty, Retail Media, and Martech leaders, building credibility and influence across functions + Drive cross-functional collaboration across Finance, Marketing, Operations, Technology, Merchandising, Supply Chain, etc. to enable effective decision-making + Communicate complex financial insights clearly and persuasively to senior leadership and executive stakeholders + Champion a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and results-oriented decision-making **Required Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field -
