Job Description

The Director, Finance will join the BAM’s Global Finance team and will report into the Senior Vice President, Finance & Operations. The Director will primarily be responsible for supporting BAM’s quarterly and year-end reporting and financial planning and forecasting processes. The successful candidate will be able to work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including operating business groups and various BAM departments.

Primary Responsibilities:

Support quarterly and year-end financial reporting of key operating metrics for management reporting and public disclosure documentsCoordinate and review consolidated non-GAAP financial reportingConsolidate and review our key performance metrics and related dataAnalyze key drivers behind period-over-period changesAssist in the production and review of financial results and related deliverables provided to the Board and senior managementPrepare and review regular short-term and long-term financial forecasting/re-forecasting and related analyticsQuarterly forecastingCoordinate and review of quarterly forecast submissions from operating business groups, including overseeing the final high-level output provided to senior management and other usersPerform re-forecasting and variance analysis against the previous forecastWhen actual results are submitted, compare to forecasts, identify variances and follow-up with appropriate contacts to understand and/or assess the need for updates to be madeSemi-annual business planningWork with operating business groups to understand the key strategies within the business plans and changes to the plans from the prior yearIdentify unusual or unexpected variances for follow-upConsolidate and prepare management reportsSummarize variances from the prior plan
 Continuously look for efficiency in our processes, tools and reports and make suggestions to implement these into our frameworkAssist as needed with due diligence and/or investor requests, ad-hoc analyses and presentations on financial and operating results and special projectsBuild relationships with frequent contacts across the organization to assist the team with obtaining accurate, timely and useful information

Qualifications & Requirements:

Degree in finance, accounting or related business disciplineCompleted CPA or related designationMinimum 7 years of experience in Finance (accounting, reporting, corporate finance)Ability to adapt to new challenges in a dynamic and fast-paced environmentAnalytical and strategic thinker with the ability to assess complex situations and make effective recommendationsAdvanced Excel skills and has a tech-savvy attitude to identify, analyze and implement changes that enhance business performanceHigh attention to detailExcellent organizational skills and capability to effectively manage priorities and apply a pragmatic and efficient approach to timely handle complex assignmentsStrong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with a proven track record of working with individuals across various levels and backgrounds
